To me they looked like Class 47's, but then I had only eyes for the Duchess

Just wondered.....
I saw this tour outside my house - on the rear was a 57/6 (57601 I think) which is slightly different to a 57/0.

I have found the flashing emergency warning board, the diggers are there, the temporary AWS magnet is there and the TSR commencement sign is there, but I can't seem to find the TSR warning sign with the speed on it and the TSR termination board.
Anyone have any clue?
Thanks.
Callum.
Have a look at the ones in one of the provided scenarios - what the board shows depends on what's in the flyout box.

Except...
- It's got a new cab.
- It's a mostly new exterior
- It's got new physics
- It's got new sounds
- It's totally rescripted
And of course it's got new paint. So... if that's "just a reskin" then the JT 67 is "just a reskin" of the RSC one and you should be writing to JT denouncing them for flogging a repaint for a full price item.

No I won't be writing to JT, because I already had the RSC 67 so didn't and won't buy the JT version for that reason.

Thanks for that! When we left Leicester their were two - one on the front. Picking up passengers on the way we got as far as Alfreton - and then the lead loco broke down or had a failure of some sort. So we were shunted into a siding for an hour whilst they swopped over. I've been wondering ever since what happened and laughing at the irony because the Duchess ran magnificently. This was last June.

I purchased the pack the night it was released, gave it a proper run yesterday. So far completed scenario 1 and 2 so already spent 4 hours driving it, I'm very impressed. Definitely something to get use to compared to the other version. Overall think it's a brilliant little pack.
There is just one thing what would make me happy - WCRC vinyls instead of Rail Tours vinyl.

Just love this Class 57, but for what purpose is the newspaper if nothing else than sliding back and forth across the dashboard when you try to grab it? Would like to read the headlines on the front page.

If you slide it over to the right it disappears completely from view!

Its a nice little touch but..
If you go round a tight right hand bend should the newspaper not slide away from the curve rather than into it?

Depends on the SE and the speed of the train, eh? if you stop ( or slow ) a train on a cambered curve everything falls off to the middle. Had a couple of drinks end up all over my legs when that happens.
If you drive this around some of the old non-SE routes it fairly rapidly tries to eject itself out of the outside.

I just picked this up for £5.99 in the Steam sale. It's a wonderfully detailed model and a pleasure to drive!
Quick question for the rail experts - is the 57/0 used by WCRC substantially different from other 57s operated on the UK rail network? I'm curious to know whether this model could conceivably be reskinned into different liveries (e.g. DRS or Freightliner) and used for freight operations.

WCRC use 57001 and 57006 quite regularly, usually on the Statesman railtours and through the summer on The Scotsman jobs DRS use 57002-4 and 7-12 on freight such as nuclear waste services and container services while 57005 is stored at Carnforth and is owned by WCRC. Some of DRS(ex Freightliner)'s 57s do have the smooth ended cab at one end so I guess it could be reskinned into those operators colours if the mapping allows it...

Thanks, that's good to know. It would be great if this loco could be used for more than railtours
