I know

, but my previous post was they are completely different locos ingame, to just clarify on the "what happens if you have the 57" line of thinking which I'm sure more than one poster would end up thinking, which is natural I suppose.

Just got it. It's amazing. Not explored much but the dept of realism and the general feel of the loco is something I've never experienced! I love it!

Pretty sure the 57 owned by WCRC is exactly the same as all the other 57/0

It's a mostly new model, is what he meant ( I think ). The external cab ends are different at each end, so it's not quite the same as the original one anyway.
Put the key in first to make it do things, you can use the bell button to do that from your sofa. There's other things like variable speed wipers, dash lights, cab lights etc that obviously you can't work from the F4/gamepad. Reading the manual is usually a good plan though :p

Out of interest, where can we find the manual?

Well i'm not going to buy it twice, as far as i'm concerned i already own the class 57 and this new DLC should be made available for free to those who own the original class 57 or atleast sold at a discount price. The original Class 57 is no longer available on Steam, so this is the new version!
It makes you wonder whether this be happening with other old DLC that is no longer available on Steam like the class 101 & 111 emu's, will they also be remodelled and sold again as 'EMU Rail Tours' and you willl have to pay again.
Something doesnt seem right here?

Manuals are a last resort! Jump in and go for it...
I like this loco, the sounds are really good, and it feels really "heavy" as it should. It rather gathers momentum and the running sounds seem to give this effect I think. Also, you have to watch the braking and think ahead otherwise you lose too much speed.
It would be advantageous if you had intimate route knowledge (which I don't) as I'm attempting to run with no HUD, which I don't usually do. I like this though, didn't realise it was due out until I saw this post this evening, so thanks Callum for the heads-up, I just love S&C!

Has anyone whacked the hotplate cooker thingy in the secondman position yet? I find it quite fun

If you go poke in the manual you'll find a bunch of stuff to help you drive without the F4 panel...

Sorry, but the 57 you (and I for that matter) bought is a different item to this DLC. The content is completely different, it just happens to be based around the same class of locomotive.
Whether you
choose to buy this, or anything else, is of course up to you, but nobody is being made to pay for the same thing again.

Would be nice if someone with both original and new could give us a comparison?

Just looked at all the specifications of what Oovee has included in the cab features and soundpack, and it's quite mind blowing what Zane has created, and the pack also includes 2 models of an excavator, which will be very welcome to scenery tweakers like myself, this looks the absolute bees knees, and has been immediately added to my ''to obtain'' list, even though I did purchase the first one, it's not a problem for me in having 2 different models of any locomotive, I've been doing it for years, and there's a new Class 150 coming out soon as well from Oovee and I'll no doubt get it also.

The 150s just a update to what is already released, not really a seperate purchase since they are just updating it accordingly as it says on the facebook page, basically just doing what they did to the 57 not to long ago.

The original Class 57 pack was priced at £9.99 if I remember rightly, probably explains why that has been removed now.
