Sudden Railworks error
I have just started Railworks, and this happened. I have no idea why.

Re: Sudden Railworks error

is usually due to a badly edited or corrupt .bin file. Had you added anything or edited anything before re-starting the game?
If the problem is with a piece of default stock, or a Steam acquired asset then verifying the game files should fix it. If, however it's an issue with something else then it needs a bit more work.

Re: Sudden Railworks error
I was actually attempting to make quick drive consists in the blueprint editor. However this required no editing. I will do a verify of the cache.
Re: Sudden Railworks error
I cannot see your thumblink (you need to separate the different parts of link and use your own album number, not the example one), but I am also getting a SBH error message as soon as the opening splash screen appears. The video introduction does not start. Was there any up-date to-day? The program was working for me earlier to-day and I have not done anything since - no new programs installed or any changes made in my set-up.

Edit: I did a verify cache, but it is still not working for me.

Re: Sudden Railworks error
There were quite a few DLC updates today (33, 67, 86, 170, 325, King, V2 and all the included rolling stock, plus the 390 yesterday).
First step would be to clear the blueprint cache (Main Menu>Settings>Tools) and if that doesn't resolve it, verify the game in Steam.
No problems to report here, could somebody with the V2 confirm they're able to launch the game? I don't have it so if it's a problem with the V2 I won't see it.
Cheers,
JB

The Image is the one kindly shown on GPTech's post, there is no SBHH, the game just goes black instantly. I have to CTRL ALT DEL and then I find the error.

Re: Sudden Railworks error
No manual editing certainly, but if it fails for some reason you may have a badly formed .bin file (the error does say theres a tag mismatch) or even a zero byte file, both cases can cause the game to stop responding.rgreenrail wrote:I was actually attempting to make quick drive consists in the blueprint editor. Re: Sudden Railworks error
I can confirm that this is fixed, a verify cache on steam solved the problem.
Re: Sudden Railworks error
A second verify cache has also worked for me. But I still don't know what caused the original problem. Very strange.

It's happened again, I've only been doing stuff on RW-Tools, but I must've deleted something vital again. Ah well...verify cache again...

RW Tools (in most cases) automaticcaly produces a backup copy of the file(s) you've edited---they have the extension .bak, .bak1, .bak2 and so on. You could try renaming these back to .bin file(s) and testing.

Re: Sudden Railworks error
Verify cache doesn't even work. Game refuses to start, even though everything modified (or created) was for the 150 and 156. I have no idea what to do.
(Edit- removal of Class 156 preload folder has fixed this, clearly something not right in there)

Re: Sudden Railworks error
I have had a similar problem over the last few days with error 170. I attempted to reskin the JT Manor and then deleted the loco folder and still recieving this problem. Also TS2013 refuses to start whenever I clear cache too!
If anyone can help this would be most appriciated.
