DLC update question
Hi all,
Does anyone have any idea of when DLC like Tornado and the Jubilee will be back on Steam after the TS 2013 updates are done? Cheers!

No. Wait till RSC maybe perhaps release them again!
If only all problems on the big railway could simply be TAB'd past...

Re: DLC update question
I hope they release them again, sadly i didn't buy them before TS 2013, at the moment the only British steamer as far as i can see on steam is the Fowler 4F. Shoulda got 'em earlier!
Re: DLC update question
The Settle Carlisle Specials add-on is up... that contains Tornado (plus Green Arrow, Wootton Hall, King Edward II and a bonus maroon 47)severnrail wrote:I hope they release them again, sadly i didn't buy them before TS 2013, at the moment the only British steamer as far as i can see on steam is the Fowler 4F. Why couldn't the steam loco sit down? - Because he had a tender behind.

They're not the full packs, the V2 only comes in LNER Green and the GWR Hall is blue...firstborn wrote:The Settle Carlisle Specials add-on is up... that contains Tornado (plus Green Arrow, Wootton Hall, King Edward II and a bonus maroon 47)
"Moving half of West London would be a ridiculous amount of work."
Re: DLC update question
Yeah i know.. i have the pack... but i thought he was looking for steamers and didn't seem interested in the 4F (or maybe already owns it)... Plus the full V2 and Hall packs were pulled months ago and don't appear to be coming backjivebunny wrote:They're not the full packs, the V2 only comes in LNER Green and the GWR Hall is blue...firstborn wrote:The Settle Carlisle Specials add-on is up... that contains Tornado (plus Green Arrow, Wootton Hall, King Edward II and a bonus maroon 47)

Re: DLC update question
I luckily managed to grab the GWR Hall pack and will maybe grab the S&C and S&C specials packs. It could be that the only way to get certain loco's is through these route packs or other loco pack's, e.g. a Black V2 comes with the O4 pack.firstborn wrote:Yeah i know.. i have the pack... but i thought he was looking for steamers and didn't seem interested in the 4F (or maybe already owns it)... Re: DLC update question
Sadly i missed the Hall pack, and it's proved to be a right royal pain in the backside... soooo many 3rd party routes and scenarios use itsevernrail wrote:I luckily managed to grab the GWR Hall pack and will maybe grab the S&C and S&C specials packs. Re: DLC update question
Looking at the DLC description, the S&C route is "required" to "play" the Specials add-on. Is that really correct, i.e. these locos can't be deployed in other routes/scenarios? Also, do you know whether the V2 is a different base model to the black V2 included in the 04 Robinson/Woodhead pack, that can be transposed to other routes?jivebunny wrote:They're not the full packs, the V2 only comes in LNER Green and the GWR Hall is blue...firstborn wrote:The Settle Carlisle Specials add-on is up... that contains Tornado (plus Green Arrow, Wootton Hall, King Edward II and a bonus maroon 47)
I have the original Hall Pack (where the cab is now defunct), so would like a refreshed version; and, the Green Arrow and Tornado would be nice additions - assuming, of course, I can use them in routes other than Settle&Carlisle (DLC payware) in which I have zero interest..

Re: DLC update question
The scenarios are set on the Settle-Carlisle route, so it definately is a pre-requisite to 'play' the supplied scenarios, but the assets contained in the pack can be used on any route. All you need to do is tick the relevant boxes in the Provider/Product drop down box when adding to a route.mjoliver1 wrote:Looking at the DLC description, the S&C route is "required" to "play" the Specials add-on.

The answer I had hoped for. Many thanks.gptech wrote:The scenarios are set on the Settle-Carlisle route, so it definately is a pre-requisite to 'play' the supplied scenarios, but the assets contained in the pack can be used on any route. Re: DLC update question
just on a similar subject - What happened to the King pack? I am sure there was one - no more it seems?
Also has anything changed on IOW? I bought IOW back when it was first released - probably pre steam (if RS ever was without steam) off the railsimulator.com website and as such haven't really been able to update it/install any upgrades. I've tried to contact railsimulator about this on numerous occations without any joy so i am wondering if i just give in and pay the 10 quid to get the steam version..

Re: DLC update question
Yeah, the tie in with Steam is relatively new in the story of the game. Like the class 66, the IOW is one of those odd items that never really seemed to be an RSC product so for a tenner you might as well go for it.andrewscott wrote:probably pre steam (if RS ever was without steam)

Re: DLC update question
I wonder when these will come back, although I emailed RSC about a few pieces of DLC I was interested in that were unavailable.
It seems the Class 50 has been withdrawn altogether.
The Class 31 and 111 packs will be reintroduced at some point.
