Hello Ashgray,
I am French......and could you tell me.....is it crazy to think that RSC is more interested to finish and sell in first "The London to Faversham" route, and propose after "the Western Lines os Scotland" ?
It is only a question beacause I try to understand the commercial logic of RSC.......and don't fire on me .....please
See you soon

Not really crazy, they like to sell their own products before 3rd party as they are generally flagship RSC products. Anyway, Western lines really isn't that far away and the Jinty from meshtools and the 2MT from DT are going to marketed as stock appropriate for the line and have scenarios made for the route, just like the O4 and B1 were. DT have already confirmed that the 2MT was awaiting a appropriate project by RSC to be finished around end of Jan to Feb and Matt who used to be admin of this forum and website had also indicated the 2MT is to follow shortly or near the Port roads release in facebook responses to other users.

Faversham is pencilled in for end of Feb as noted numerous times by RSC posts the last week, so there is atleast 3 thursdays before then which they can release new DLC upon. Projects which were near completion were Port road, 2MT, the US steamer, Oovee's 150 and new 57, so any of those could appear over the following weeks before the High speed route.

I was not indicating the Port road was months away or the 2MT is the same, just that the 2MT won't be seen before Port road due to the scenario requirements, likely a combo deal for buying 2MT and Western rails of scotland at the same time to.

But depends down on the fickle whims of RSC and their release dates which are naturally subject to change.

Well - there's nothing on the Engine Driver blog to hint at a route release this week...

... latest blog is publicising Donner Pass :(

If they were doing a engine driver blog for WLOS, it would be on a thursday and the same day as release, this has been evident in all the routes prior besides the overhyped HS1 route. RSC have also been trying to move the engine driver's blog away from being another advertisement platform and more to do with various different train related articles.

That blog had done WLOS before so I doubt it will get a repeat. Hopefully we will get a release, I want the 2MT too...

Looks like the 2MT isn't today, the US steamer has been released instead.

just posted on the Cl 465 in development/ thread - the website linked to on that thread has recent update activity on the Jinty, but not for WLOS or the 2MT...

... no idea what it means though :-)

It probably means the Jinty has just been set up ready for testing...

RSC just posted an update along with a screenshot that the 2MT is now `Coming Soon'.

Random question.. I have to wonder why does RSC use terribly low resolution compressed to oblivion screenshots to advertise product? The Digital Traction logo is better clarity and more detailed then the screenshot they are using to generate hype for a product. Not bashing but that screenshot is awful looking and it's not the only product they use low grade screenshots with either.

I see RSC is still trolling with the "coming soon" tag, funny as the project hasn't been updated on the steam's testing and content servers for 28days. Been a fun trip with this one, first it was delayed in January for a big RSC project (WLOS) then WLOS got delayed in favour of a Faversham hype reel for a entire month..then WLOS comes out and it still doesn't get releases as either a combo deal same day or as additional stock so that their was a break from all the black 5s.

Ok its probably going to be this or next week, but by this point its starts to get the "meh" feeling rather than the "yay" feeling which one had months prior, I know full well the effort and time required to create a addon, but when DT have been asked about release the last few months its always been a similar answer of "we don't know as its up to RSC".

The flip side on this is DT's moved alot of their new projects to be bought through there store so a better turnaround is happening for the steam locomotives thus us getting a better selection to use now, as for the smaller devs, especially DT, releasing one DLC through RSC using steam is turning into a 4-6months release schedule fiasco which in my opinion is hurting rather than helping 3rd party developers to get their content to a wider audience, which is what the partner programme was supposed to be about.

I honestly don't know why they put out lower res screens Styckx, but I generally follow DT's facebook for high def shoots, shame as you say they use the lower res pictures, but then I'm not expecting much in that department from RSC as they still seem to think a screenshoot looks awesome when it has horrible gnash semi circle disorting anti alias artifacts or no straight lines what so ever, annoys me to no end to see say a electric loco with a grill on its body side with overhead wire above and everything is jagged, least they could do is bump it to 2x2 on SSAA to get a decent shot :-/

Anyway ranting aside, if they get it out this week it'll be nice to have to drive over WLOS, its one of the few steamers which I feel is quite missing to this route so far, fair few achieve footage I've seen had them scattered about on the WLOS and atleast it breaks from all the black 5s everywhere, fingers crossed also DT's 2-6-0 and 4-6-0 4MTs will follow shortly, they had been delayed into April due to some work for RSC.
