Are you using the same steam account this time as you did the first time?
Why would you need to buy anything again when everyone was upgraded to the latest version for free, just login in to steam (with the account registered to it) and it will download

If your purchases are on two seperate steam accounts, there is nothing you can do as steam wil not combine or transfer purchases between accounts.

This is the problem. I cannot remember the EMail address, the pseudonym used in the original Railworks account or the password.
Every time that I try to renew it, Railworks keep sending a mail to the old EMail address that I no longer use nor remember.

Ah,
then this is more an issue with Steam than RS.
Unfortunately without your old email address I dont think they will be able to do anything.
Chris recently decided he wanted to play Halflife which he''d registered through steam on an old email account.
Fortunately he could remember what it was and Steam support kindly told him what his username and password was so he could redownload it.

Hope you remember

With Steam support - which you should be dealing with - you need to have any sort of proof that you have purchased a key which has been activated on Steam. The easiest method would be a photo of the original key on the manual or in the dvd box. That is, if you had purchased a boxed version of Railworks (or any other Steam game).
If you have the account name and the original email adress, it might be possible as well. The more details the better.

Good luck, Steam support can be mean, but usually they try to be helpful.
Please note: english is not my native language, sometimes I may not use the right words to describe what I want to say.

Thanks everyone, but I've had enough.
I've uninstalled Railworks and put the lot on EBay.

You can hardly blame Steam or RSC, if you have forgotten your login details!

By the way if you are selling a DVD version of Railworks on ebay, I should point out that it is already linked to a steam account and therefore will be useless to anybody else.

You could have wrote the details down, I do sometimes if I think I am likely to forget them.

Hi Brooke1
Not sure if this helps, but i had the same thing with my sons Playstation network account,he made a mistake with his Email address,so when they sent him his new password he never got it,so could not login to his account, so i phoned playstation network, and explained the problem, they set up a new account, with a correct email address, and transfered his settings and various other things to the new account.
Might be worth googling Steam to find a contact number.

You would have to sell your Steam account which is against Steam's Terms of Service that you agreed to when creating your account. The account will be banned.

How has Train Simulator 2013 (Railworks) let you down? You forget the login details in which case it's your own fault. You can't blame others for what is your mistake, and in the end if you do remember your login details then everything will still be there ready and waiting for your to download.

Just an update on my side. I'm slowing working on the stuff that has not worked.

One or two sorted by patches supplied (thank you) and seems one or two repaints were cream crackered because TS2013 is more picky than TS2012. As an example, I had a repaint of the 156 in SWT colours. That did not show but others did,so clearly something with that repaint. I then used RW Tools to duplicate another working 156 and moved the textures from the SWT across and bingo she appears in full.

Likewise with my DT Mk1's, none of the BCK's or BFK's showed. DT very kindly supplied an up to date version as mine was an older version and at first all was OK. Then they disappeared again but the only thing I had done was to delete the Kuju Mk1's. On looking at the bin files I was a reference to the Kuju Mk1 FK in the passenger view. So I took that section out on all the BCK's and BFK's and we are now back to normal. Why did I delete the Kuju Mk1's, simples, why have two lots of Mk1's cluttering the menus?

I suspect my other problems are going to be of a similar nature so will plod through and see what I can do.

Slowly getting there :D

I can't understand why RSC does not draw up some kind of comprehensive online FAQ and troubleshooter which has to be gone through before an email to Support can be sent? They seem to be swamped by enquiries from all and sundry most of which are of a trivial, repetitive, or of an unsolvable nature. The merest simplest problem seems to trigger, by convention, an email to support which naturally has the system completely bogged down.

From what I've seen on here, some people blame RSC for everything that is wrong with their life.

You could also view that as being TS2013 is less forgiving of user generated errors, in that example it's possible that slightly 'iffy' editing of a .bin file whilst having no impact in TS2012 is enough to make TS2013 complain. Not such a bad thing, we all want and have called for more efficient code from RSC so can't complain if their enhanced version finds the flaws in ours.

Why bother?...after any update to the game or verify they'll be re-installed by the Steam system.

Probably so, and I suspect you won't find one that is RSCs responsibility to sort out.
