Thanks Mike, it worked a treat with the 47s. However, when I tried this same method with the HSTs and their sound pack I got the message,
"Unable to convert files-the file Template\HST-Controls.txt is missing."
I had selected all the HSTs and this message came up on the first one. To be honest I hadn't tried any of the others so don't know whether this is a generic message or just for the first loco in the list. Further advice would be most welcome. Many thanks.

Hi Pat,

You are missing the file RW_Tools\Template\HST-Controls.txt - It is in the full version of RW_Tools on my site and should have been in a lot of the update patch versions over the past year or so, but I might have missed it out.

Go to http://www.rstools.info/Public/HST_Controls.zip and copy it into the Template folder and the HST sounds should work as above.

Nice! Can it do the same for the Class 37 Pro Pack? :)
No, sorry, only those packs which Richard has asked me to do installers for can be fixed from within RW_Tools.

Thanks for your response, Mike. I followed your instructions, unzipped the file and dragged it into the templates folder. However, I still get the same message when trying to amend the HST sounds. I've double checked the templates folder and HST_Controls.txt is definitely in there, amended as of today. Where might I have gone wrong? Should I copy and paste, rather than drag the file over?
Cheers

Same for me, I'll contact Richard and see if he is aware.

Answered my own question. Tried copying and pasting but same message as before.

That is strange, the error message will only appear if the program can't read the HST-Controls.txt file - Can you open it in notepad OK?

Also are you using Windows 7, and if so make sure you are running RW_Tools as administrator.

Mike, don't know if it makes any difference but I notice in your text you call it the HST-Controls.txt file, but the download is hyphenated differently ie HST_Controls.txt file. It opens okay in Notepad. I am using Windows 7, 64 bit and run RW Tools as Administrator.
Cheers.

Guys I've got the same problem with NO sound in the cab of the Class47's, I've used the easy apply tool on said locos (the suppled scenarios) and now they wont load saying the ICS class 47 consist is broken and modified rendering them useless, I've emailed Richard but not had a reply yet, any advice please.

I have since completely re-installed TS2013 and am gradually adding files from my back-up of RW3 and testing as I go. I have added this soundpack and the accompanying scenario and can now run it without problems. I am strongly of the opinion that the upgrade to TS2013 on top of the RW3 programme is the cause of a lot of problems. TS2013 in its own right seems to be running very well. Probably speaking too soon, but we'll see!

Geoff
P.S. Thanks to Richard, as always, not only for his soundpack but for his prompt response to my query.

Re-installing the extra stock pack and overwriting any previous files worked for me, i must have had an older version of some of the 47 reskins.

Has anybody had any success converting other 47s to these sounds? If so can you PM me.

I too would be interested in understanding whether there was a way to transfer these sounds to any other generic product which may exist. 8)
