Very Strange. I uninstalled the route again and re installed V3.1 together with the freeroam scenarios from V3.0 re copied over the Pedro and Trenomarcus Assets from the V3.1 zip file. My copy of the Brescia-Iseo Route is also working properly no tracks or assets are missing according to RWTools.Ferrovia still appears to have the tracks and overhead wires missing,Gantries etc do show up same as in davejc64's . The funny this is , If no assets are missing from the Brescia-Iseo route and the list I put up in my earlier post of missing assets from the Ferrovia route are nothing to do with the tracks , then why arn't the tracks appearing? Also where should I be able to find these missing Trenomarcus assets?

Regards

Antony

Well I tried re-installing the Assets_Bs-Iseo_Pedro.rwp, and for me, no change tracks and overhead wires still missing though it did fix the problem I had with the BS-Iseo route.

Don't despair. lets be positive we will get there in the end. Even if it is a very long road.

Antony, you' should find the tweaked signals in AssetPak4.

So, I still have the same problem as you guys. But I can restore my route of course so everything is fine with me.

What I did now is:

Reduce the selected assets in the route to a absolute minimum. That means that there is "almost" no more rolling stock in the routeproperties.xml. There are a few assets which have scenery objects AND rolling stock in the same folder. In this case, I can do anything.

Now I need tester. Who would like to test a new version 3.1? Please write me a email or pm on this forum. Thanx.

Cheers, Pasquale.

One question:
Is it the same version 3.1 which is available here? → http://www.ferroviasulconfineitaliafrancia.ch/page2.php

No, it's not the same version. As I wrote it's a version with deselected Assets (that brings similar results as you would use RWtools).

Ciao, Pasquale

Hi john,
Got the route working by using a clean asset and content folders and transfering your route and assets into then,
then using RW-TOOLS checking for missing assets and rolling stock and then transering then from my orginal folders
into the new folders I created.then finally transfered my orginal KUJU folder into the new asset folder.
I have had this problem before with a route (South West Wales v3) just could not get it to run using my normal files
had to use seperate Content and asset files (clean ones) and do as i have just done with your V3.
Do not know why- its not the size of the KUJU file as I have transfered it into both routes and they ran.
I will have another go at getting it to run in my normal files, will be intouch
Cheers Stan

Have now deleted the route once more. When I get home from work, will attempt again to install. In the past I have been installing everything manually bypassing the package manager should that make any difference? I think I will re download all the Assets and the route again, fresh. One thing though I notice that the link for the v3.1 is down. Have you removed the route for the time being?

cheers

Antony.

I do the same as a collection of my Italian routes and they run fine.

In that case I'm interested.

To answer Ajay1's question re the Ferrovia sul confine Italia-Francia route I use the same method as stanec1 (and others) by using a seperate asset folder for this route as it was the only way I could get the original version running. I just copied the relevant files freom the Brescia Iseo route etc having identified them using RWtools. I'm still missing quite a few Italian buildings but the route runs fine except it won't let me use the world editor now - I still haven't figured that one out.

This isn't the only route I had to resort to a seperate asset folder. To make things a bit more streamlined I have seperate asset folders for UK and European routes and that seems to have reduced errors - I ceetainly didn't have any issues with the Brecia Iseo Route so perhaps one of the issues is too many files in the asset folder.

Ok, it seems that the "old" system (dividing the assets from the original) is still the best option. Juanillo99 will test my route version 3.1, see what happens.

I have disabled the possibility to download the route on my page. Will put it online again when we have a final solution

Ciao and cheers, Pasquale.

By separate assets folder do you mean that this folder is placed within the Ferrovia sul confine Italia-Francia route ? As you can see I have never done this sort of separation before. Would someone be so kind as to elaborate on it a bit more with a step by step instruction on how to go about it please,ie: put what folders and files into where? as I would hate to muck it up good a proper.

Thanks

Antony

Chrisreb gave me this advice some time ago: -

1. Re-name Assets folder (e.g. AssetsM or AssetsMain)
2. Verify local files on Steam - this will create a brand new assets folder.
3. Install route assets and any required rolling stock.
4. You will probably find the route now runs
5. If so then you can swap between the Asset sets by simply renaming the folders i.e. Assets to Assets something else and the AssetsMain back to Assets.
6. Later, having ensured you keep a backup, you could add other problem routes to the new Asset set.
7. If it mucks it up just reinstate the backup.

Yep - advice still good - tried just a separate Kuju folder which works with many other routes but these ones need a full separate Asset folder and perhaps content folder.
