Aha I was waiting for someone to mention the ICE1
I too have been looking for it and was a bit unsure as to whether to wait for RSC to make it available again or just buy it from vR
As you've just bought it can I ask a couple of questions?
Does it have the same cab functions as the ICE3? (ie LZB PZB)
I know it has AFB as Ive seen videos of it, but Ive also seen it is/was quite primitive but that kromaatikse(sp?) made a mod for it.
Is it still using the 100% throttle to 0% to 100% to 0% to control the speed or has it been updated?
Thanks in advance.
Dave

i have just looked and can't seem to find any scenarios but it is a great train to run on the cologne to Dusseldorf route and from virtual railroads it is about £12-13 instead of £17.99 on the rail simulator website

Hi Dave, the ice1 only has AFB,
but, the ice1 is a far more refined model than the ice3! Physics too are another level above the ice3 in fact I am in the progress of doing a double scenario for the NEF and started off with the ice3, but it was so dismal to drive I have swapped it out for the ice1! Not sure about scenario's though.

I couldnt run C-D before the 2013 update but now it runs quite happily and am getting into german locos.
On the topic of ICE1, I went ahead and bought it from vR and emailed them asking whether it would get an update.
Got a reply back this morning saying they are looking to update the features after their next release but no timeline yet.
Also noticed the rain goes backwards on the windows

I think the point is that air pressure will force the drops up/back. slow down and stop and gravity takes over and you get a case of the dribbles!

possible I suppose but gravity shouldnt make the rain go the wrong way on the side windows
ie down and forwards instead of down and backwards (when moving forwards)
