I read somewhere
that you can delete a DLC that is not functioning properly and force Steam to redownload and install it again. I have searched through here and cannot find it. Is it correct that all I need do do is delete the .ncf file for the content. and the next time I open the steam client it would automatically be installed again as though you have just purchased a new product, or is there a bit more to it?
I'm at my wits end over this as I have tried all other avenues to fix the problem with no luck, Complete reinstall, Verifing the Cache, Clearing the blueprints, etc.
Thanks
Antony.

Re: I read somewhere
I would just remove the offending folder, then re-verify.

You need to delete the relative license file from your installation.
These are the .ncf files within your 'steamapps' folder - then Steam will see the Railworks folders as having missing content you've paid for and download it for you.
That's the theory anyway

Re: I read somewhere
Hi Antony,

The above instructions for re-installing just the V2 Loco (DLC) were kindly given to me by transadelaide and worked a treat.Correct. You'll need to quit Steam completely (i.e. right-click on the icon in the system tray and select 'Exit'), then delete Steam/steamapps/railworks v2pack dlc.ncf, then delete Steam/ClientRegistry.blob and finally restart Steam, making sure you use a shortcut just to Steam and not one that launches TS2012 or any other Steam game you have.
If you have installed mods like sound packs or replacement liveries you should update your backup first, just in case a general check is triggered by one pack being missing.

Just another question regarding the removal of the .ncf file. Should I also delete the actual folder that holds the contents of the problematic dlc as well as these other files as above? or does it not matter.
The reason why I am wanting to go down this track is because I am trying to fix the Blank DLC screen that get when selecting the Class 111 from the Collection Screen Menu. Thinking along the lines that,if everything is uninstalled that references to the Class 111. The Steam Client will treat it as though it is a brand new purchase and perhaps this may fix the issue.
I have tried all. Verifying the Cache, Deleting Blueprints etc, Complete un installs and still it ends up with the Blank Screen. Does anyone else have the same issues with this Class 111?
Thanks
Antony

Re: I read somewhere
I certainly wouldn't hurt to remove the folder before hand...
However, have you confirmed this is just an issue for you alone and not everyone who owns the Class 111? - I only ask because there appears to be a topic on the Steam TS2013 game hub discussing this very thing.

Re: I read somewhere
No its not your installation, i have the same. I suspect you have wasted your time. I tried the same to no effect althought the class111 and granfield branch are still there and accesible from the main menu they are not through the collection and if you download any workshop scenarios requiring them they wont work. Its not just the 111 either i think its all the stuff that is no longer available for purchase.

Re: I read somewhere
I have the same issue with the Class 111 DMU when selected from the "Collection" screen.
I've reported this to RSC Support, with a screenshot attached, but so far they've mostly ignored the complained and told me to go through the Steam verify, redownload dance and blamed the specs of my computer.
Oh, and I've focused with them on another minor issue reported in the same e-mail, so perhaps they overlooked this problem in my e-mails to them.

Re: I read somewhere
I've got email correspondence a mile long with RS support over this, and its seems as if I am going round in circles all the time. I guess I will just have to wait and one day hopefully they may get round to fixing it.I did have the same issue with another DLC,but that was fixed with an update via Steam.

Re: I read somewhere
I have the same problem with the Class 111 DMU, so I want to know does forcing steam to re-download it again, work?, I have also contacted RSC with it including screenshot I have told them verifying steam cache doesn't work, neither does deleting blueprints and have told them not to bother suggesting that. so it will be interesting to see what they come up with since I have dismissed their favorite remedy.
EDIT, I have just checked, Class 111 DMU and Granfield route do appear and are playable from Single Player Menus, so it's just a case of them not being selectable from the Collection screen.

Re: I read somewhere
Just had word from RSC support that it has come to light the Class 111 is not available from Steam at the moment and as soon as it is back online problems should be resolved.

Re: I read somewhere
Glad i tapped 111 into the search box before embarrassing myself...
Glad too to see it's not my own problem regarding the blank screen when selecting the Class 111 in the Collection menu.
What do you guys think about the chance that the 111 and 101 will eventually be updated with outside front lighting and rain effect ? ....
Certainly after the great cab view mod the 101 has become my fav DMU. ( would it work if i change 'Class101_CabCam.bin' into 'Class111_CabCam.bin' and put it in the Class 111 Cabview folder ?.... )
Thanks for any reply !
cheers,
jan
