Re: DT light pacific and rebuilt light pacific
Something puzzled me so I thought I'd mention it in case others are also puzzled.
I bought the LP through Steam and the RLP direct from JT.
I applied the LP patch from the DT site and the RLP redownload from the JT site. Both locos were then okay.
Then I did a Steam file verify and had 330 files needing re-acquiring.
The backhead pipes for the LP were then back on the roof. (So I applied the patch from the DT site again.)
It looks like RSC/Steam isn't up-to-date with the LP patch yet.
Bob.

Re: DT light pacific and rebuilt light pacific
Erm, unless directly said on RSC facebook page, there hasn't been anything mentioned that the steam version was updated, only that the appropriate update files were sent to RSC's Q&A. Considering the pack isn't even back on sale yet it would be a educated guess to assume nothing has really changed on the steam front, only the patch via DT's site making any difference to the light pacific versions as of now.
Its been pretty common knowledge for awhile that RSC provided with 3rd party patches tend to not come very fast, especially when it has to go through RSC's entire Q&A progress, mainly the reason why 3rd party opts to put patches on their own sites these days.

I assume the "Erm" was an implied criticism that what is obvious to you should have been obvious to me. Well it wasn't, and it might not be to other people either!

Re: DT light pacific and rebuilt light pacific
Considering on the 2nd page of this very thread a poster copy and pasted DT's reply about the steam patch saying steam users would have to wait for the patch to be issued I think it would be pretty obvious, the patch also was issued on DT's website on the 6th of October which was a Sat, RSC have been focused on the deluxe edition the past 2weeks so again I think it'd be pretty obvious they have had little time to focus on Q&A'ing a 3rd party patch in the 4 days of this week.BobLatimer wrote:I assume the "Erm" was an implied criticism that what is obvious to you should have been obvious to me. Plus no one else in this thread has made mentioned of "my light pacific updated via steam" since the post by Levisham about DT's reply in regards to the steam patch so my last post which seems to have been taken as a insult in some way was questioning how you could be puzzled over the fact a verified cache returned the original Light Pacific, in light of the actual Light Pacific pack not currently back up on sale to which would be another indication the Light Pacific on steam isn't updated.
I apologise if the last post came across as the wrong way, however reading previous posts would have given a logical and obvious conclusion its not sorted on steam yet and this thread certainly would have been updated by other users who have the LP pack on steam if it was such the case and the pack had been updated.
DT rebuilt light pacific
I am attempting to update the above file to the RailWorks2013 compatible version without the floating crew. I have accessed my JT account, downloaded the file and followed the instructions. The installer will not recognise my purchased software.
I have therefore reinstalled the original rebuilt light pacific and update files from copies on my hard drive; the validation works and loco appears in RW2013 but with the crew on the smokebox. I then follow instructions and rerun the installer from the JT website update (logging into my account) and get the problems again as above. The product disappears from the menus within RW2013 and the installer will not recognise I have the software purchased….
Hoping JT support will answer a separate email, but it is Sunday so there might be an answer here first
(Failing that, I'm going to throw some overalls on and go use the 12"= 1' version down at Swanage (Eddystone running today!)

Re: DT light pacific and rebuilt light pacific
Is this the error you get Kevin?
If so, you can download the registry fix from http://justflight.info/sites/updates/jt ... andFix.exeJust Trains Support page wrote:• When installing this product, I get an error message which tells me that the Railworks registry entry was not detected
To fix your RailWorks registry entry, please download and run this tool:
1.Run the tool and select Reset Registry
2.Browse to the RailWorks.exe file, usually found in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\railworks\RailWorks.exe
3.Double click on the .exe file to fix the registry entry
Re: DT light pacific and rebuilt light pacific
Thanks - I'd forgotten about this tool! However, tried it and it still hangs at the authentication screen when downloading from JT website. I've emailed JT a copy of my original receipt!!
Thanks for the advice tho!

Re: DT light pacific and rebuilt light pacific
Hi all,
I have just loaded the Rebuilt Light Pacific into TS 2013 and for some reason two men are fixed to the front of the loco both in surveyor editor and when driving. Also the whistle smoke is no longer coming from the whistle! (As show in pic)

Can anyone help? Cheers,
Henry

Re-Download the full Light Pacific pack from your account page, run it twice, once to fully uninstall it then again to install it, problem should be fixed, it was updated about a week ago or so.

The picture shows the result on the left screen and the manual and the new cache on the right screen

Does anyone know when RSC intend to fix the Cab on top issue with the DLC version of the DT light Pacific ? every time I do a game verification I have to re install the DT patch which fixes it. A bit of a pain.

Re: DT light pacific and rebuilt light pacific
Thanks for all the info, chaps. The LP update from DT does indeed correct the Steam unrebuilt LPs and I had no problem with the rebuilt as that was bought on DT's site. Now the whole fleet has headcode discs. Just had to reset the view through the cab window, as head out still gives no audible warnings.
