Have you installed or edited any files since you last successfully ran the program?

The only thing I did do was create a consist for quick drive with RWTools it worked okay and I was able to drive it ok, then I quit out and when I went to play again later the error occured, so thinking it was caused by what I previously done I deleted the consist, but the error still occurs, it occurs as soon as I try to Launch TS2013.

Hi, I got this error too whilst creating consists in QD. Once I had deleted the two files that this process creates it got rid of the error. I believe the error might have been caused by specifying the wrong level for the preload folder in rw_tools.
The two files to delete are blueprints.pak from the level above the preload file and the actual file from inside the preload folder.

Hope this helps

I tried that, but it made no difference, but thanks anyway.

I should add after clicling OK on the above error message I get this:

I should have mentioned that before.

Sorry to bump my own thread, but can anyone shed any light on this problem or should I contact RSC?

I have sent an email to RSC support, but if anyone has any ideas in the meantime then I will be grateful to hear them, thanks in advance, also trying another cache verify just in case.

The error is relating to a corrupt bin file or scenario (which contains bin files).

Did you create a scenario recently? If so delete it.

If you did not then you have to try and hunt down the bin file that is causing it. This is not an easy process.

Fingers crossed you made a scenario and can delete that to fix the issue.

The only thing I did do was create a QD consist with RWTools yesterday, which I deleted, but I will check for any .bin file that was created yesterday, I just remembered also I edited a free roam on the granfield route that came with the Class 111 DMU, I will take a look and move that out of the RW folder to see if that is the problem, but that should be replaced in the cache verify shouldn't it?

Edit, Thanks to Jim, I solved it, I went into the pre-load folder in the Kuju folder Railsimulator folder and found a file named .bin deleted it and now TS2013 loads OK, I know what caused it when I made my QD Consist and after I had tried it out I went back to RWTools thinking I could edit the consist from there, but I couldn't find how to load it, and inadvertently clicked create consist, which due to the fact I had not selected any rolling stock essentially created a empty .bin file, it's right what they say we all learn from our mistakes.

Well done Dave for fixing it. Believe me I have done similar things many times before.

Any file in ANY PreLoad folder which is invalid will prevent TS2013 from running. The program goes through all the PreLoad folders first and if it finds anything faulty, it just gives up. Pity the error message does not tell you which folder it has the problem with though.
