Re: Removal of DLC from Steam...why?
Yeah, thats enough but all it does is deepen the mystery. The game uses that part of the .bin to display in the stock list, so you should see an entry for "Class 86 BR Blue".
Time for a long shot....
right click on the Class86pack folder, select properties and then the Security tab.....Make sure that your user account, or at least the group your account belongs to, is listed and has at least 'Read & execute' ticked.

Had a look... and 'read & execute' wasn't ticked... so edited it.... Sadly , no difference, still won't loadgptech wrote:Time for a long shot....

One other thing possibly worth noting... the Class 86 doesn't appear on my collection screen (the one you see when the game first loads up, that lists everything you've purchased from Steam).... Is it supposed to? - Because this also leads me to believe the game doesn't think i actually own the content

Re: Removal of DLC from Steam...why?
Not everything shows on the collection screen, so I wouldn't worry about that.
Going back a whole lot of steps----you have cleared the cache haven't you?
It might be worth doing it manually from Windows Explorer. Navigate to your railworks folder and type *.pak into the search field at the top right. Delete the files when Windows has finished indexing. The game might take a lot longer to load on restarting it but you can be certain it'll have built up a full list of what you have installed.
Try giving your account/user group 'full control' ----even if you're a member of the Administrators group due to Win7's 2 stage 'elevation of privilages' you don't automatically get full control.firstborn wrote:Had a look... and 'read & execute' wasn't ticked... so edited it.... Not everything, but the class 86 does (at least for me), so something strange is going on there.gptech wrote:Not everything shows on the collection screen, so I wouldn't worry about that.

Re: Removal of DLC from Steam...why?
Is yours a post or pre removal/reinstate copy? The whole collection idea seems to have a mind of its own at times, stuff shows for some users but not for others.nigeltouatievans wrote:Not everything, but the class 86 does (at least for me), so something strange is going on there.
Re: Removal of DLC from Steam...why?
All my other Steam add-on's appear on my collection screen, including products not currently available on the Store.
I've never had an issue with getting anything else to work, so i'm sure it's not a Windows permission issue.
I'll contact RSC support again on Monday, let them know what else i've discovered since Thursday... hopefully i can convince them to investigate the situation their end, because i'm pretty confident this isn't a problem my end

Mine is from ages ago - so pre-removal (and working fine as far as I can tell).gptech wrote:Is yours a post or pre removal/reinstate copy? Hi to all interested,
Are we going to get this mess every year? It would seem that the best thing to do would be to disable automatic updates until Christmas!

Port Road has probably gone down for updating, both Freeware, and the eventual Payware extended release.DaveDewhurst wrote:another 7 have been removed,

MJA and TEA Wagons have been removed but are still available to download in the Class 70 Pack - RSC are moving away from individual packs, moving towards stock/route packs. I think it works out as better value, as you get both together, including the Class 70, which is an excellent model!
Also, I think the Mk.1/Mk.2E Digital Traction packs have been removed as well.
