I believe the only options that worked were for 30 FPS and 60 FPS ? Substituting in random numbers other that those did not work in my experience.jetstream wrote:Thanks - please see my post about half way up the page.
i have entered the command line and it doesn't make the slightest bit of difference, whether on or off line with steam. I was unable to get it to work in 2012, as well.

Many thanks for that and you're quite right. I set the fps to 30 and it has held it perfectly. That's made my evening.

Yes looks like the missing stuff is back. Class 66 definately is. Looks like it is still the old ex-Rail Simulator model though... The textures are certainly the same, and so does the geo file seem to be (and looking a bit aged, at this point). I don't use TSX, so I can't say whether it has had rain effects and lights added?

Hm, seems my King class has gone walkabouts now, even though it was there before..
Fix one thing and the King has left the building.

Re: TS2013 and empty RSDL directories!
Unfortunately it appears that the Flying Scotsman and the King Packs are still missing, despite the large additional update this morning. SighJustRight wrote:Yes!! RSC have realised their, or Steam's, error. I have just logged onto Steam (Saturday Morning here) and received some 830+ megabytes of download. 2,276 files updated this morning.
Including contents for the following:
RSC/GP9Pack01
RSC/JubileePack01
RSC/SD40HnPack01
RSC/SD40WnPack01
RSDL/Class08
RSDL/Class66
RSDL/UKWagons01
S9BL/Class158Pack
virtualRailroads/vR_ICE1
Plus Manuals and a shed load of Scenarios!
Wonder just what happened. Probably a Steam error rather than RSC. Anyway so far so good. Lets hope there are no other 'Surprises'.
Cheers

It seems I spoke tto soon. The fps lock via the Steam option isn't holding at all.
Has anyone had any problems with cab gauges in the Bo-Bos of an unamed manufacturer; mine have disappeared when driving from the cab but are there if you peek in through the cab window using the roaming camera?

I can confirm that the RSC Scotsman and King folders are still empty after the latest update and a Verify Cache.

Re: TS2013 and empty RSDL directories!
Hi All,
Sent a reply to RSC regarding the additional missing items (Flying Scotsman and King Packs). Just received this response from them:
Just thought I would pass this on.
Cheers.

Hopefully these will also be fixed up soon. It would appear that these problem are down to Steam, rather than RSC necessarily. We are unaware of any issues relating to the Flying Scotsman and King packs, I shall get in touch with Steam to clarify these packs are set up correctly.

RailSimulator.com Support.

Re: TS2013 and empty RSDL directories!
It is with mixed feelings when reading about you guys discovering all kinds of faults etc.
My problem are the fact that I cannot even enter the game? After two days of download (pre purchase, the lot) all I get when clicking on the game are a sort of "Introduction". HERE AFTER, then either a train or person running on the rails, with a torch or something highlighting the "sleepers". My screen goes 'Black" with only the Mouse pointer showing?? 1) I've validated the cache (OK) 2) I've deleted the RW.exe file and re-aquireditProblem remains 3) Allowed the PC to run for approx an half hour, with the Black screen (In case something are doing magic in the background? Still the same problem)
My PC have a i7-2600 @ 3.40 Gh/z x 2 processor with 8 Gig RAM, Windows 7 64 bit, Nvidia Geforce GTX 550 Ti Grafix card. I have "Panda" anti virus programme.
Can anyone maybe help me?

Re: TS2013 and empty RSDL directories!
Hi Johan, Sorry to hear you are having that sort of problem. I wonder, is this a completely new install of TS2013 or is it an upgrade over the top of TS2012?Johansteam wrote:My screen goes 'Black" with only the Mouse pointer showing?? Can anyone maybe help me?

If it is an upgrade, is it possible that you have a Creative sound card and that you used to have Creative Alchemy installed in your TS2012 directory? If so, then use the Creative Alchemy install utility to remove the Alchemy files (dsound.dll & dsound.ini) from the TS2013 directory. A crash very early like that could be sound driver related. I'm sure I've read another thread somewhere that sounded similar.
If yours is a brand new install, then clearly something has not been installed properly. Get on to RSC at support@railsimulator.com They have been really responsive over the past 24 hours or so, no doubt trying to alleviate initial realease problems.
Good Luck.

the following content is missing from My system
Jubillee
King class
Flying Scotsman
Class 31
class 158
class 86 pack
Class 390 pendolino
class8 and 66 are still there, but these were original cd packs (shows how old the content is)

Re: TS2013 and empty RSDL directories!
Hi JustRight,
I have replied, thanking you for the info given, however it seems my posting absconded into Cyberspace? Never the less, I do not have Creative Alchemy nor the mentioned files in the RW4's root dir. Railworks's Support contacted me ( I am impressed with the time it took them to respond - very quick )
They suggested a complete uninstall he reinstall .... this will take me another 14 - 16 hours before I will know whether it worked or not?
Thanks again,
Johan

Re: TS2013 and empty RSDL directories!
Yesterday i got a reply from RSC. The problem should be fixed and i was advised to do another cache verify.
Well i did and i did even a complete reïnstall, but the Scotsman, King and US freight cars are still missing (the assets, not the scenarios).
I downloaded a tool to view the cache files. It seems the assets are not present in the cache files, only the scenarios. So they won't be downloaded if you verify your cache.
I sent another mail to RSC support. I hope this will be fixed very soon.
