I agree - you shouldn't have to, but if you have your old installation backed up, and you know that will put back the missing files, why not just do it?

It'll get you through until RSC (presumably) provide a fix. Loads to gain, nothing to lose

Initial error reports get a standard reply. Once it becomes apparent it's a widespread issue it will get escalated. So keep on reporting it.

Received a email just now stating its been logged with a support member, better than the usual auto response I suppose of verify cache and re-install to fix issues. I do recall someone mentioning be it here or facebook that they had recieved a reply stating Mon/Tues the DLC would probably be back, it was just that steam was 8hours behind RSC and they couldn't laison tonight to get a update out with it being the weekend or something to that accord, which would perfect sense all things considered.

Odd thing is, my 66 is working as is the King, not checked flying scotsman, but Jubilee, 08 and 8Fs are missing.

Beyond these missing DLC not a aweful lot has broke to be honest, 3 in total out of my rather large collection of DLC, not bad all things considered, alot less worse than what TS2012 did to DLC.

I moved the class66 folder from my back-up to the 2013 installation.

The C66 can be placed but there is no cab interior at either end. If one inserts a driver, save the scenario, and then attempt to drive the C66 the program crashes.

Some of the US DLC also has scenarios which fail to load with missing rail vehicles - the NS Highnose and CN Widenose are the ones I have with problems. I also am missing the 66, 08, 158, and mk1 coaches for the Flying Scotsman. I have sent an email to RSC support.

NS Highnose is one of the pieces of DLC gone AWOL. CN Widenose probably fails because of the lack of the US Wagon Pack freightcars (also AWOL).

I'm missing the 66 and 158 along with some US stuff. But again it is another RSC update thats broke things. There must be alot of wasted man hours at RSC having to fix things that the updates break.

A question about the frame rate setting: I know how to set it up but it doesn't make the blind bit of difference. I've just entered -FPSLimit=25 into the Steam launch option and I'm still getting fluctuating frame rates. Does one have to stay on-line with steam for this command line to take effect. It's not update related, either; it had no affect on my TS2012 either.

They really should bring back the frame rate tick boxes.

USRailFan wrote:I can confirm the same issue here. Class 158, Class 66, Class 08, UK wagon Pack and US Wagon Pack all gone (folder structure is intact, but folders are empty). The German Wagon pack strangely enough is intact... Have informed RSC Support.
Well, I've just checked and am also missing those folders, however, I didn't get the Class 08, 66 and the wagon packs through Steam, I bought them from the RSDL website about 3/4 years ago, so, they wouldn't be included in any core game update, I have to manually install them again through the legacy tool in my Package Manager.

Don't know about the Class 158 though, my folder is empty, but, I did get it as DLC through Steam, I think.

Maybe RSC have done away with these folders now, as we have a Class 158 with the Settle & Carlisle route, and there is a separate Industrial Shunter pack which includes an 08.

I also noticed that on the products page on the RSC website, the number of DLC packs has dropped from 108 to 99, today.

Cheerz. Transport Steve.

EDIT: I've just found the RSDL website, and I remember buying the Class 158 from here as well now, maybe that's why it isn't in the update.

Yesterday, I had my TS2012 installation on my laptop updated to TS2013. Since then, I also had empty folders as mentioned above.
But when I started Steam this evening, it immediately started to download quite a lot of TS2013 things: all my missing DLC are back now. :D :D
So, problem solved, at least for me. :P

class66, 08 and wagons have just re-appeared on the download!

back to framerates, until a limiter is reintroduced I'm sticking with 2012 because jerkovision has just raised its ugly head again.

Yes!! RSC have realised their, or Steam's, error. I have just logged onto Steam (Saturday Morning here) and received some 830+ megabytes of download. 2,276 files updated this morning.

Including contents for the following:
RSC/GP9Pack01
RSC/JubileePack01
RSC/SD40HnPack01
RSC/SD40WnPack01
RSDL/Class08
RSDL/Class66
RSDL/UKWagons01
S9BL/Class158Pack
virtualRailroads/vR_ICE1

Plus Manuals and a shed load of Scenarios!

Wonder just what happened. Probably a Steam error rather than RSC. Anyway so far so good. Lets hope there are no other 'Surprises'.

Cheers

The limiter is still there, like mentioned in other threads, just use the commandline in the right click properties area of the game library on railworks and pop it in.

Thanks - please see my post about half way up the page.
i have entered the command line and it doesn't make the slightest bit of difference, whether on or off line with steam. I was unable to get it to work in 2012, as well.

Delighted the 66 and 08 are back though the 66 is still not showing in my collection.
