Hi, not sure if this has been mentioned here yet?

Below is a starement from AP.

"We have released an update which removes the anti-piracy measure to allow those who avoid Steam to use the 142. Apologies about the inconvenience caused.

An update has been released for the Class 142 Diesel Multiple Unit Pack which should fix the issue some people have been having with the model not displaying properly in the simulator.

Simply re-download to obtain it. "

Curious... why would AP mention Steam?

Just had to get it especially with the discount. Thanks AP/Waggonz :)

However have a few problems with the cold start scenarios on Bristol to Exeter and NtoY modern.

Upon loading, the engines start up, shut down, startup, shut down etc etc repeatedly without any input from the keyboard.

Has anyone else experienced this issue or is it just me?

That's a rather bizarre statement, since there is no (legal) way of using the game if you don't use Steam. :-?

Some people own a legitimate copy of TS2012 but choose to avoid Steam. This was clashing with our anti-piracy measure which also faced other problems so to save any further problems for paying customers, the measure has been removed.

We in no way endorse avoiding Steam but we don't wish paying customers who do so to not be able to use the pack.

Purchased this lovely looking 142 yesterday but sadly have yet to be able to use it! Install seemed fine, I can see the scenarios in the menu and I can see the units in the editor too. Whenever I load up a scenario or go to place a unit in the editor I constantly get SBHH errors? Scenarios never load fully and the editor is tempremental, sometimes I can place one unit and adding another will provide an error, or just selecting the unit and moving it around to place will provide an error. I have verified the cache on steam and still have the same problem. Am I missing a step somewhere?

Did you download the extra stock packs? It looks like something may not have installed properly/into the correct directory.
Also, what are your computer specs (windows version, processor speed and type, graphics card model, RAM type, etc...)?

I havent downloaded the extra stock, though I now realise I need this to run the scenarios. I originally intended to just use them in the editor, though I still get errors there? Specs are:
Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit
AMD FX-4100 Quad Core Processor @ 3.6Ghz
Nvidia GeForce GTX 560 Ti
8GB RAM

I'll have a quick dig around the files to see if anything is amiss but seeing as I can select the scenarios and see them in the editor I'm at a bit of a loss!

Hi
If you have object textures set to highest, try reducing it to a lower setting. I would be interested in the results.
Thanks

I hate to sound like a complete and utter numpty now but since the '13 upgrade, they have decided to work! I apologise profusely for mucking you guys around :(

I cant see a texture setting in '13, but im pretty sure in '12 I did have it at maximum settings. Im afraid I cant be much more specific than that, I change settings so often I can never remember what they are!

Hi everybody
I purchase the class 142 last week and found it a great add-on and it has rapidly become my favourite unit. However, since the 13 upgrade it now has an open air cab and my first great Western colours have now turned a strange red and grey (the colours are of the same for other train operators)

I have tried deleting the application, re-downloading and installing but still the same problems. Hope you are able to fix in the near future.

With thanks
Bill
