Moving Train Numbers

Post by superalbs »

Hi,

I'm working on a Class 360 reskin, that requires the unit numbers to be moved on the front, is there anyway to do this?

All help is appreciated, thanks! :D

The positioning of the numbers is determined by the model, so you can't move 'em.
...or at least not by 'normal' reskinning---it's possible to use child objects and clever scripting to intercept the calls to the game and display the numbers on a child 'plane/object' that you can position where you want; we're all waiting patiently to see how that's done though!
Unfortunately it might involve having to use RW Tools, so that could rule it out in your case.

I'm hoping to record a series of tutorials for doing just that Gary, when I can find the time. It will have to be a several parter as its not for the faint hearted, but the results are well worth it.

Thanks for that Matthew; I was rather hoping you'd share the 'workings' for the sterling work you've been on with.

That'd be really useful, thank you.
