I bought Just Trains LMS and BR Patriot DLCs in their recent sale, but on the BR side the scenarios and QD won't load due to missing coaches. The LMS engines and coaches are fine, as are the BR engines! An analysis of the scenario 'BR Patriot - Evening Return' shows the following missing assets (the part in red being what is missing). I've redownloaded and reloaded both packages. The installer reports 'successfully installed' and there doesn't appear to be a log file. Anyone know what may be happening?

I'd guess that the coaches don't come with those particular items, and are from a different pack so a mail to JT would be in order.

Thanks for the response gptech. The download offers Mk1 coaches and the pictures show the blood and custard variety. I did email Just Trains and their first advice was to reload (which I'd already told them I'd done!) and their second mail was to offer me a credit - which I suppose is reasonable, but I only paid £3 for the add-on pack. Would just be nice if it worked

This is strange Steve. I have the LMS Patriot since 2012 and just recently bought the BR pack. I have no missing assets in the scenario you indicated and the coach file folders belonging to the Patriot have the same dates as my Patriot folder after the update (in my case 23.02.2013). So I do not think they are from another JT item as Gary suggests, which should also be unfair to require additional assets to run a scenario that comes with the Patriot. Furthermore JT does not mention any required additional assets as some other (DLG for example) do.

I would also suggest to contact JT. Best through the Patriot support section of their website: http://www.justtrains.net/support/lms-patriot

By the way, did you actually install the update for the Patriot that JT issued on 19.02.2013? Perhaps that will help to solve this problem, you never know. Check the same JT support section for the Patriot that I mentioned above.

The Evening Return scenario is not listed in any of the Patriot manuals but I found it by going through all the routes. I found it on the London to Brighton route. Just to let you know mine loaded ok.

The scenario is listed on the JT website for the BR Patriot 'Baby Scot' add-on pack though, and I have it and the crimson and cream Mk1s are there. So I don't get it why Steve cannot find the coaches.

Sunday Morning Stock Move scenario on the L to B route for the Patriot base pack is not listed in the manual either.

Odd one... can anybody confirm if the path to the coaches .bin files is correct?

could easily have been changed.

Steve, is the path above reported as such by RW Tools?

That's exactly where the coaches are in my installation. When I run the scenario through RW_Tools it shows all of the stock as present.

Same here, path is correct. Bit odd as well that JT has offered Steve a credit, which is nice but there should be no reason that his installation does not work. As I mentioned before it could still be that Steve, having bought the Patriot and BR pack just recently, has missed the update to RS 2013 as I suggested he should check. We'll see when he responds back in this thread.

Hi guys. Many thanks for the numerous responses to my query. It seems that this problem is unique to my installation - presumably, for reasons unknown, my PC isn't permitting the files to be written, although the file structures for Just Trains Mark 1 Coaches in LMS Red are there OK. In answer to the points raised, yes the paths were as reported by RW Tools and this is consistent with the missing items identified when the scenario fails to load. I already contacted the JT support team from the Patriot page, as suggested by Jos, and the update issued on the 19-02-13 was a revised installer rather than a patch, so having just bought the pack I'm confident that I had the up to date version. I've also done a general search for the missing files just in case they'd been put somewhere else, without success, and also tried to fool the installer to installing on another disk, but need to get more Railworks installation cloned before it will be fooled.

Anyway, thanks for your help, and if I solve the mystery I'll let you know.

As I'd had this problem, and just deleted the scenario, I checked out the Patriot update on Just Train's website - that says that you only need to install it if you purchased the LMS Patriot before 19/02/2013 so I can't see it as the solution.

Well thanks to felix47 for the solution to this at http://forums.uktrainsim.com/viewtopic. ... 1&t=138767. I'd exhausted my tricks - loading to different discs, loading as administrator, loading with AV shields off, redownloading and loading in safe mode - all to no avail!

However I can confirm the felix47s solution worked. Loaded as Rail Simulator (copied the railworks installation, renamed RailWorks.exe to RailSim.exe, installed then copied back the JustTrains Mark1Coach folder) - bingo!

However, given that JTs recent sale of the LMS and BR Patriots must have been popular I'm surprised more people didn't report this problem, if, as felix47 says, it is an error in the TS2013 installation script?
