Yesterday I downloaded the Woodhead route.
Plays fine although some scenarios call for the class 77 - which is not included with the package, and as far as I can see, isn't available anywhere else.
Can I swap the needed class 77 for the class 76 which does come with the route?
And if so, how? RW works does not 'see' the Woodhead route (which is strange as it 'sees' every other route I've got).
Changing a loco in a scenario for another.

Re: Changing a loco in a scenario for another.
RW Works now does 'see' the Woodhead route - must have been something to do with Steam as just had a bit of an update.
I still need to know how to swap a loco in a scenario for another though ... please

Re: Changing a loco in a scenario for another.
Hi Dave
You need a copy of Mike Simpson's indispensable RW Tools software - probably the most valuable and useful piece of kit available for TS2014. You can get it from Mike' site here. You'll also need to download the associated Help File, from the same page.
Bear in mind that RW Tools is Donationware - you may use the software for evaluation purposes for a limited number of times but after that, you'll need to give Mike a donation to permanently unlock it for unlimited use. You will never regret doing so.
Once you have this installed, changing locos or any other stock is a doddle. Make sure you read the Help File as RW Tools is powerful, with many very useful options, such as checking you have all the required assets for routes or scenarios, changing times of day/year, altering weather patterns, cloning scenarios, etc.

Thanks Ash. I did mean RW Tools (not RW Works). Will read the help file and give it a go.

Re: Changing a loco in a scenario for another.
Well.
After downloading the RW Tools helpfile (I already had RW Tools (and donated!))
and having a good read, I ran RW Tools and it found no trace of a missing '77'.
Running TS2014 again, it seems the update this afternoon changed the scenarios from class '77' to class '76'. Cool.

Re: Changing a loco in a scenario for another.
Found a list of missing assets. On investigation, these were tucked away in an .ap file (which RW Tools cannot read) so I unzipped them, ran the check again and all is well - bar one.
RW Tools is reporting the only missing file (for the Woodhead route) is:
....Assets\RSC\Woodhead\scenery\rock\rock_tun_ent01.bin
Anyone know where I could get this file from please?
It's nowhere else on my drive.

Re: Changing a loco in a scenario for another.
Doing a Google for that file turns up a locked thread on this very forum where others are missing it too.
Apparently it doesn't affect the game so I'll let that one lie.
Thanks to everyone for their help/advice/pointers.

Re: Changing a loco in a scenario for another.
There is a Class 76/77 DLC available in the steam DLC list. Comes with 3 77s in different colours plus a 76 in green. 10 scenarios (5 standard and 5 career) and various free roams.davep wrote:Yesterday I downloaded the Woodhead route.
