Those routes are the routes that you would expect to see in an install of TS2012, so nothing wrong there. When Steam updates to TS2014, it won't add any more routes, but the game core will be brought up to the latest standards.

But I had 8 routes in TS2012 which included the Isle of Wight and it gave me more scenarios than I have got now, that is what I find confusing, the reason I made the mistake of uninstalling TS2012 was I had problems with some of the scenarios not running. Ok don't know if it was supposed to be there but I had the London-Brighton route which was the main problem area with The LB Eurostar scenario locking the game with Exit or Edit message.
I have still kept the new TS2012 in its cellophane wrapper even though I now know I cannot get a refund on it. So upto now I have spent £44 on the game.

Yes, but you weren't entitled to those extra routes---somehow your installation didn't clear folders for stuff that TS2012 doesn't include. You haven't lost anything you're entitled to.

If it's unopened you may be able to, or be able to exchange it for some other JT titles---drop tham an email.
You've bought the game 3 times, first time through ebay but have you contacted the seller to claim a refund? If you get no joy there ebay itself may be able to assist.

Sorry but only bought twice once from JT and the other from Play.com and checked up, not entitled to a refund. But in my old confusion I get them wrong way round. the first one I got delivered was from JT (my memory does not work that good). I am still very confused, the write up for TS2012 definitely said 8 routes and they all showed up in game on first installation. It was only when I messed up that I lost them. So if I open a new account with Steam using a different email address and install unwrapped disk what do you think will happen.

Where are you looking for the routes?---not all show in career mode nor in the collection screen. You'd probably get a better idea by seeing what routes show when you click on 'Build' from the main menu and enter the editor.
Opening a new Steam account will be of no use, and only confuse things more; you have a working Steam account, you have TS2012 content and the only question is whether you have it all. The DVD will not add anything, evn when installing from DVD Steam will check and upgrade if necessary the contents on your hard drive---what you get is what Steam has you registered as being authorised to use in other words.

Ok Thanks, looks like I will have to stick with what I got and try to sell my unwrapped disk.
