Having just registered, I was wondering wether BoB "Fighter Command" is available?
Either in Southern Railway or in BR.

I have searched in the downloads , but found nothing.

Perhaps in a payware collection?

I'm fairly sure it isn't available, are you thinking Air Smoothed or rebuilt by the way?

Doesn't really matter, the name struck me.
All of the Bulleid Pacifics, be it Merchant Navy, Battle of Britain or West Country Classes, just have wonderful names and beautiful name plates, coats of arms, etc.

PS: I play both MSTS and Railworks.

PSS: Is creating your own name plate difficult?

It takes a bit of practice.

Where did you find it? Or did you do it yourself just last night?

That is a Railworks model?
Care to share the loco?

Was BR 34064 ever rebuilt and can the name plate be transfered?

I started repainting the Light Pacific a while ago but had to leave it to do other things, so it is still a WIP. I did a few of the nameplates so I have a sort of template for those and can do one quite quickly.
It is the Digital Traction Light Pacific.

Fighter Command was never rebuilt and was withdrawn in May 1966.

Still a WIP, she looks great nevertheless.

When those name plates are decals, they could be created/repainted independent of the loco carrying them?
That would make sense with most classes of UK steam locomotives that were named.
I have the Railworks Light Pacific.
I suppose those name plates were cast, and therefor have raised lettering.

Will be awaiting your repaint, and a good reason to buy the DT model then.

Finally, are those Bulleid coaches, because of the curved walls matching the LP tender's profile?

Even if it's WIP, it'll do me, Brian! Lovely job, as always.

It's the same model, the Steam Download version and the DT one are the same, have you got the latest patch for the Light Pacific from DT's website?
http://digitaltraction.co.uk/mainsite/d ... ea/?did=10

The nameplates are a raised on the model but the lettering is not, so the names are just painted on.

The coaches are the suburban Mk1's that come with the DT 4MT tank loco pack.

Was Fighter Command the one that got the Giesl ejector?

Any pics with that? On those Austrian loco's that were fitted with the Giesl ejector, the smokestack had a very distinct shape, like a funnel.

With the air smoothed casing of Fighter Command, I wonder wether that shape showed. Light Pacifics hardly had any smokestack showing anyway IIRC.

About that WIP, any news or ETA?

Take a look at this: http://www.svsfilms.com/nineelms/giesl.htm

Two pics there of it fitted, but as you said, you can't see very much of it at all. On the first picture, you can definately tell that it is narrower.

Stanlow, dit you send me a PM? Unfortunatly, I can neither send nor receive PM on this board (yet?).
What next? More postings from me to get probation lifted?

Yeah, I'm afraid you may have to post a bit more to get it lifted. Not entirely sure if it works on time or posts actually.

Anyway, I had sent the PM to check if you had seen my previous post in this thread with regards to the pictures (and interesting article) on the Nine Elms site about the Gisel ejector and Fighter Command. I also thought I'd give you a heads up as Steam Sounds Supreme have an Unrebuilt Bullied enhancement pack in the works, and one of the pictures shown (on Facebook) was of one wearing a Fighter Command name plate.
