Austin BR Van

Post by davep »

Greetings.

The other day, I downloaded from here the CAMBRIDGE route (having said that - now I cannot find it on the site!).
First time it threw up an error saying I hadn't got loco 70014 (?) and it's tender.
No sweat, I'm a diesel man anyway so tried to load up the green 37 scenario.

Now that said I was missing a 16t mineral - grey. Well, I downloaded (from here) a 16t mineral but that was grey-rusty.
So I simply renamed it grey - and that worked!
But now it's failing to run because it says I need an AUSTIN BR VAN and I'll be jiggered if I can find one anywhere
(and until I get this, I cannot see what else it's going to fall over on).

Anyone point me to the d/l for the van please?

Cheers, Dave.

RW Tools would be your new best friend here------you'd use it to check routes and scenarios for missing items and the resulting report would point you in the right direction.
Try a search in the RailSimulator section of the library for the van, the author may have been jefflayff ( probably spelled that wrong, but I'm not at a PC to be able to look)

I did try RW Tools but my printer went belly up and decided to print so faintly I couldn't read anything.
However, that's now sorted and I've re-checked.
Got 4 pages worth of missing stuff but everything is a ".bin" file.

..and I've just looked at UKTS site again and yes, the Cambridge Branches has vanished. How odd!

Just thinking, the Austin BR Van could be rollingstock not a road vehicle. I seem to remember seeing a standard van painted for the Austin company.

Yes its a RailSimulator download here

Ah. I saw that (the green van) and thought I was looking for a ROAD vehicle.
Thanks for clearing that up for me.

As for the other stuff, I'm just downloading from 3D Trains their freeware scenery packs - hoping that'll cure my faults :-)
