Confused? Not 'arf !

Post by davep »

Greetings.

A couple of days ago I bought Railworks/Train Simulator 2012 and when I installed it (I HATE Steam btw) it upgraded to 2013.
All well and good.
I installed Bristol to Exeter which I had bought at the same time. OK, seems to run fine.

Today I downloaded RW Editor from this very site and ran it, checking the above route.
147 OBJECTS MISSING ?? What the .... ??

So I uninstalled Bristol - Exeter and re-installed it.
Same result.

Can anyone throw any light on this for me please?

On a related, but separate note, I also downloaded today from UKTS The Mayflower Line (Harwich - Manningtree)
and all the associated add-ons required. Went to play the route and I couldn't move the 317 for the life of me.

Again, any suggestions please?

TIA, Dave.

First suggestion: Don't be so quick to delete. There are notes on JT's site stating you may need assets that are no longer included with the game but are a separate download-----chances are you need the European Asset pack and/or APStation.
Did you get a list of assets reported as missing? Posting the path and name of one will enable us to quickly see what you're missing.

Welcome to the forums by the way.

Read the manual for the 317, I'm not 100% sure but you may have to use "Expert Controls"

You can ignore missing decals - they won't affect the running of the route in any way.

My railway photos are now on Google + - links to the albums are in this thread http://forums.uktrainsim.com/viewtopic. ... 9&t=149558

Lots of steam and early diesels from 1959 to 1963.

No problem - decals are used while building a route to show where real world objects are placed. The references really should be deleted after the route is completed, but, as you have discovered, they are often left in place.
