RW_Tools scenario help

hi all

i am having a problem with RW_Tools

i am trying to change a loco and i cannot get it working for the life of me

for example i am trying to change the somerset and dorset free roam templecombe scenario

i am going into RW_TOlls and selecting the route and scenario
i am selecting a consist then searching for the one i want in this case its a class 142 i am changing the 2 locos in the consist to the class 142 then clicking drive it
saving the scenario starting up railworks and it wont load or it will load and i am still driving the original steam train now the one i am changing it to

can someone help

After you've clicked on the stock you want to change to your satisfaction you need to click the 'Save changes to scenario' button in the lower left of the RW Tools screen...




Once you've saved the changes you can drive your new stock----though you may have bother swapping un-like stock, not so much in a free roam but it could get dodgy if you swap steam for diesel etc in a time-tabled scenario due to the different physics/speeds/etc of the swapped stock.

Hi, with Rw tools you have to swap the same type of item, so swapping a tender for a loco/unit won't work. If it is a free roam, you can just use the RW scenario editor to edit the scenario to add what you want where you want. There are tutorials and also the creator guide in the railworks/manuals folder to help you.
