Re: scenario question
Hi Ross,
yes indeed - there is pleny of scope to change both the locomotive, and/or the stock being used - whether it be just the driven (your 'driver' train) or other consists elsewhere in the scenario as AI. You can use the in game scenario editor - but in my experience this is very tricky for newer users (just like me). It's very easy to damage existing scenarios and corrupt files, so, make sure you clone the scenario you want to amend and keep it/rename it as a backup.
AND - always read the manual.
Alternatively, there is a slightly easier way, and this is the path I chose to amend consists. Download Railworks Tools - found in the main body of this website if you search the Download library. It is free to use up to 21 times and it then becomes 'donationware,' whereby you need to request a license key from Mike to continue using it. It really is a godsend and a work of genius and makes like so much easier. The fee is respectable and of course, the more you use it, the better and better the value.
There are several Youtube tutorials that you can follow to use Railworks Tools to make simple and effective changes that will enhance your simulator experience.
Good luck...
