That's about as reasonable as expecting a bug free piece of complex software of any description. All best efforts are made when these things are developed (and this is done by enthusiasts in their spare time) but no-one can guarantee fault-free products of this complexity. Also, the TDB and its related files are the heart of a route and RE is not good at giving you a fault-free result. When these errors are finally noticed, they can be well nigh impossible to correct. Tinkering with the TDB can (and probably will) kill your route. Who wants to lose literally years of work? What OR is reporting are faults with which the route works perfectly well in MSTS (and OR). It therefore seems best to leave well alone. The TDB can be manipulated to get rid of these faults but there are very few with the knowledge and the confidence to try.tmarston wrote: When you pay UKTrainSim for the route, surely you have a right to a route without errors.
As you've just discovered, it doesn't work and never has. Microsoft dropped MSTS in 2002 - I don't think they're going to listen to any complaints about it now!tmarston wrote: One other thing about this, there is the ability in RE to regenerate the route. The method is to delete the database files and the start RE in advanced mode. However the route crashes RE which has to be closed.
I use Dorset Coast extensively in OR and in general, all the activities "work". Due to the design of OR, however, you cannot expect activities to work as they do under MSTS. In particular, the AI will often not appear at places and times that you expect. You can modify the acts with the MSTS AE so that they work as expected in OR. OR reports masses of errors with rolling stock and locos, which when you go into it are errors. MSTS blithely ignored these errors and when you correct them, the stock sometimes does not performs as it did in MSTS although it is now set up "right".
