Chiltern Line Continued

Have you given it a go? Post your experiences, particularly things that worked well. Let the team know what works and doesn't work as they cannot test the software with every combination of routes, activities and content available for MSTS. OpenRails is actively being improved and is quickly approaching v1.0. This is a great place to discuss what you can do with OpenRails.

I do not have specifics but in testing activities on the route we found that they need a recent version of the Unstable version of OR to run correctly.

Well most of the MSTS activities under OR do not work as intended, but they do run without any serious issues. My problem( was) seems to be graphics related with memory on this route and the NSR lines route. The DXT1 compression for the TERREX directory, seems to have cured my OOM issues on both routes.

Thanks

The activities for the route were basically written for MSTS and then fine-tuned to work in Open Rails. They all work with the latest "Unstable" (terrible name!) version of Open Rails.

Many thanks for the patch David.

I am working my way through Richard's new activities, and have just completed the excellent Bicester Slip Coach one.

The detailed scenery and intricate track work along the way was very impressive, so thanks to Martin and all other contributors for this super route.

Regards
Mike

There is a new version of the patch.

If you have already installed the previous patch, download this new version and install it over the original version.

If you have not downloaded the older version, just download this new version and install it.

Hi David,

I have installed this patch but as yet I haven't tried it. It's on my list of things to do, hopefully soon.

Regards,
