ICE-3 Beta 0.6 :)

And as long RS.com keeps ignoring the rest of the world, the lifetime for RW is until the release of a new simulator from someone else.

i agree with that part :D As if we ever would like UK train-stuff. Which is old, diesel pollution and no design: square box on wheels :D
I am glad Europe is modern, electric trains and great design (for example German trains) :D

I'm sorry to say the newsletter is too payware focused, it's more an advertisement email then a newsletter. Newsletter from other companies, and my own online site, tell folks about developments, what's in the works, up coming events (don't think this applies to Rail Works though), it's news not just the latest post for sales. I know RSDL have to make sales to stay in business but the NEWSletter is badly lacking.

As for the content itself, I agree that there's been a LOT of steam loco's lately. Not being a steam loco fan, I skim over it. I also agree it's very UK focused. Don't really have a problem with this but since Rail Works covers a number of world locations, would be nice to see some new stuff outside of the UK.

Huh? RS.com = commercial outfit, ergo, the stuff they tend to tell us about is, umm, payware. They've also mentioned the achievement mode they're planning on implementing which, if you recall, we were all asked for our opinion on. As others have stated, not everyone who gets the newsletter necessarily reads the blogs, the homepage, fora(?) such as this, etc.

This seems off at a tangent to the thread itself which is about the newsletter rather than the sim as a whole.

Do you have a placard which you hold up which says "Boo! Hiss!" when an RS.com'er appears, perchance? :P
