Have you installed the route specific track rules for SDB? It uses its own though will run of a sort without its track rules being downloaded.

The first you could file under "added realism". But for drivers of double-decker buses, you should assume that they behave ...

hi

before the update my game did work fine, but now? :x when i come to the start screen the game crashes sometimes.
also when i load some of my old maps the game crashes again. all those things happened after installing the new update.

i can tell you, i'm not really satisfied with this update, and i'm really angry!

These updates seem to strike computers at random, it seems anyone could be next. :o

I would suggest a reinstall if things like this start happening which doesn't have to take too long is you follow Basherz and my advice in the later post in this thread http://forums.uktrainsim.com/viewtopic. ... 14&t=99501

NOTE - But always make sure to have a full backup of the "steamapps" folder before trying this.

hi john

thanks for your help. is there a another way to deinstall the latest update? because i don't want to reinstall the full game.
but maybe i must do this  again it's the "railworksproc.exe" error. how many updates do we need to fix this problem?

the old maps wont load anymore, it's not a huge problem, because they are only for testing. the bigger problem is that the game crashes
sometimes when the startscreen is loaded.

I got 3 or 4 crashes yesterday after deleating the scenero marker as the class 47 beta i was testing with snow ploughs wasnt showing up and i couldnt deleat it.

I started my route up with no scenero marker it put the defult one in the middle of nowere then i hit the 9 to see the map the track had vanished completly and i was lost :o Luckly enough i hav had this problem before and saved a screenshot of the long and lat.

I placed another scenero marker and all is fine :)

The only way to be able to run a previous version is if you run in offline mode and have a full backup copy of the steamapps folder to swap back in. I would still say that the best thing to do is a re install using the method mentioned in the link I posted.

I haven't experienced any crashes I can attribute to the latest update.

In order to minimise the stress and toil of system crashes I suggest that after every new update you back up the Railworks folder.
This way you will always have a copy of RW prior to the latest update,

If you notice any serious problems after the next update you can then rename the current Railworks folder (i.e. recently upgraded) and reinsert your backup copy taking care to make sure it is renamed 'Railworks'. You will then have a copy of Railworks prior to the latest update.

At the same time open 'Steam' and right click on Railworks, select 'properties' then 'updates' and select 'do not automatically update this game'. If you don't do this Steam will download the very latest update again.

It's definitely not 'Updates' that are causing all the problems everyone is reporting in this thread previous or subsequent ones, but it's always useful to have a recent full backup of the Railworks folder for anything we may do ourselves that causes problems.

hi derek

i will send the problem to the support mail adress. i think i will reinstall the game.
it has definitely something to do with the latest update, because i never had those problems before
one thing is clear for me, this was the last time i updated the game, because i can't trust the updates anymore.
it's definitely not an option to backup every time the RW folder when installing a new update. the game structure should
run normal after any updates, that's the very least thing.

thanks all for your help.

I have just purchased the Hall, and let steam update, tested the Hall, all went well, I used the 9 key for 2d map. Map then flashed between the game view and map, game subsequently crashed to a blue screen and shut down my pc. :(
