The whole thing or just at the start ? Or do you mean it just has a lower fps as you mentioned earlier ?

Didn't this crop up somewhere else and it turned out the problem was the HDD that was causing the slight stutter? I only get around 40-60 on my Cresston route but it is extremely smooth.

At least that one runs for you. I'm still getting destination errors on both my installations :(.

Have yet to update and test. Will post later if I have any problems. I have backed up the previous version.

Just started Railworks after the update and can't open any routes. I get a RailworksProc.exe error as below. Everything was working fine before the update. Nice way to treat a newbie ! Verified the game files in Steam and got no errors. Is a reinstall necessary?

Have you tried deleting the blueprint cache?

Thanks Paul and Dean. Tried a few different resolutions but still got the error, also deleted the blueprint cache but still get it. I'll try a re-install through Steam. Might have to be later this evening , off for a pint soon.

Before you do that, if this the first time you have run the game make sure that you have installed the physx drivers if you have a ATI graphics card and the directx found in -

..:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\railworks\Install

and also maybe the netfx20sp1_x86 file as well if the above doesn't work.

If you have a nvidia graphics card the recent graphics drivers from the nvidia web site have later versions of the physx drivers included.

Also make sure that you set the other options in the settings and test them and then save them before trying to run the game.

Beat me to it!

Someone over at RWTS had the exact same error. A fresh install of Physx cured it.

I would strongly recommend installing the latest version of PhysX drivers rather than the ones shipped with RailWorks which are positively ancient! The latest version can be found here:http://www.nvidia.com/object/physx_system_software.html
