Does that include the BR143/BR151/BR52 scenarios we were promised when the German release was made available (which happened on Tuesday)?

It stinks but this is life. I did get a huge laugh out of something else related to this announcement so at least something came out of it.

Hi Dean,
Sorry you think it is sad to hear.
While the issues are annoying they are not major and the charity addon can still be enjoyed in it's current state.
Everyone who worked on that pack gave many many hours for free to help make it. It now just needs a couple of days to investigate the tram problems.
Personally I think you can all back down a little on this subject, other addons fair call, start a new thread, but for this one be happy knowing that you and everyone who bought it has helped change many peoples lives.
It has not been forgotten about and the update will happen.
I'm sorry for the wait and I do hope we can get the fixes out soon.
regards
Derek

This was a truly wonderful project that has not only helped charity, but also brought together a number of people, both professional and amateur, to work together for an undoubtedly worthwhile cause.
The things that are wrong with this project pale into insignificance when compared with the good that has come out of it and the pleasure that many have already experienced.

I am sorry but I have to disagree with you. When you buy a product whether its for charity or not you expect it to be fault free and work. You would not have brought your laptop if the sound didn't work or they said we will fix that in a week.
Its the same thing.

John

Obviously, you've never bought an HP laptop, lol...

Recently, a PC I have to maintain was very sure after a Windows install that it did not have a LAN plug (which was still physically present, soldered onto the motherboard). The friendly guy at the shop told me that I could well send it in to the manufacturer, it would take 4-6 weeks to get it repaired, if in fact it was a hardware issue.
Right now, we want
- fixes for Project Platform
- documentation of new signal features
- fixes for the new German signals
- scenarios to go with the new German stock
- countless other stuff in the background (light, raindrops, whistles, cars that stop at closed crossings, the new improved HUD, clever exhaust on all engines).
We give them ... (enter your favourite figure here).
I mean, seriously, playing RW as is for a few more weeks is more fun than having no PC at all for 4-6 weeks.
Clearly I want most of the above, and now, please, right now! But does it help to post that every day? I guess they know it anyway. In my case, I even received a short personal response saying that documentation will be in a coming update. So I am officially acknowledged documentation demander now, thus no need for me to act it out in public.

Hi
I only recently bought the Project Platform route and I have to say I have noticed no major issues with it so far. In it's "as is" state it's more than adequate, especially considering the tight time frame in which it was built

I agree. Yes it's sad the update is delayed, only because well, who doesn't enjoy a good update?

Sad in the lighthearted sense of the meaning. It was a donation to charity first and foremost. I make donations regularly at local shops who have the coin jars setup or the random fund raisers for a major organization. All I've ever got in return was a receipt. A full route in return with a shopping cart of free assets with some minor issues that are going to be delayed is not a call for arms.

I meant it was sad to here that updates are taking a back seat over the dash 9, 101 and the german wagon pack. Since the last update I couldnt use package manager anymore it kept crashing so I had to use a back up which is a few months older some other people were not so lucky, they have spent 100s of hours making routes for RW anymore and they cant use them now after the latest update.I just hope it gets sorted soon.

I didn't realise there was supposed to be an update for the route, although I haven't paid much attention really or had any problems with it.
I'm 90% a route builder and 10% sim driver so my main purpose in buying the route was any assets available and new ideas of problem solving whilst building. Also with a chunk of money going to Railway Children, it seemed like good pick yer spirits up thing to do.(isn't it wierd how much taller you feel when you've purposely exchanged half a pack of fags and 4 pound coins for a Big Issue with a guy who has nothing outside Manchester Victoria)
Good work by all, I'm sure any problem will be sorted soon.

Ok, well as this thread was originally setup to promote and discuss the Project Platform route release, and the routes been available for a little while now, I will close this thread.
Should you have problems or such with the route, please contact RSC.
If you need to get help or make comments about the route, or have your opinion, feel free to start a new Thread.
