RW & nVidia 190.62 drivers with the gtx285

Post by jevon »

Anyone using RW with the nVidia 190.62 drivers and the gtx285 (or similar)? How is performance? Any improvement in fps or quality over the 186.18 drivers?

Thanks.

Hi Jev.

I have a gtx 260 with a 23-inch wide screen monitor.
I run full screen with maximum settings and i get between 50-120 fps depending on route and scenario.
The drivers are 190,62. I found an improvement, albeit small, using this version of driver.

Hi Dean.
Who are you asking for settings, me or Jev?

Has anyone noticed when installing these drivers that it temporarily disables your anti-virus?

I see, however it is a tad troubling that a program can disable it without my permission!

I was thinking the same. It should not be that easy for the antivirus to be disabled. Something very wrong there.
Next time i update drivers i will try that out. Mine is Norton, i certainly hope it doesn't turn off.
