Well, obviously not. However, you implied that the same comprehensive list of changes ought not be published... Why? It's the first thing I do when reviewing or adopting some system or process that somebody else has authored; establish the history of the thing and what changes have been made.
Patch notes are pretty vital, wouldn't you agree?
Please elaborate if this is not what you meant.
Hope you get it sorted.

My commiserations, however, I'd have thought there was sufficient evidence on this board alone to justify turning off both automatic updates and preventing Steam from starting with Windows, as well as backing-up the whole of the RW folder regularly whenever a change is about to be made to the installation, for this to be SOP by now.AndyUK wrote:<snip> I for one was naive enough not to think it necessary to take a backup prior to the latest update.

Re: Update
After updating RailsWorks to latest version, I was able to install and import "Isle of Wight" addon created for Rail Simulator into RailWorks. I was able to run trains on that route. When I loaded the "Barstow to San Bernardino" route and chose "Free Roam", I think that I am at a different location on the route. I was able to create a new route with just one track and one two-car London Underground train and run that train.
Re: Update
I updated to the new version last night and have done editing on three routes before reading this thread and so far have not had any problems. Haven't noticed any changes apart from the railworksproc fix which for me at least seems to have worked.

Re: Update
I reported the delivery day problem earlier. RSC said they are looking into all the issues raised with all hands on deck so to speak.iceman2117 wrote:Delivery Day Scenario gives a big slideshow ..slowmotion..equal have fast GPU(130NV) /CPU. (i7Quad)

After making all the appropriate backups I am trying a full download and reinstall from steam now to see if it fixes the problem. I am going to try it clean and then after adding back the assets and content folders. I will report the results.

Re: Update
Thank you all once again trying to get everything in order. I never doubted it, too. I think the RSC again makes everything clear.
Thanks Capt. and Derek for Info.

Re: Update
Hi,
Currently we have found a problem with Delivery day (currently under investigation), also an issue in return ticket due to a rouge AWS ramp.
These will be fixed in the next update.
If you do have a problem email support@railsimulator.com and attach the dmp file.
As of this time we have had 2 people email support with a crash error that may or may not be because of the updated code yesterday.
regards
Derek

Re: Update
The problem with Delivery Day seems to be somewhere in the last 6 or so instrcutions for the player train. If you delete those, the frame rate comes back to normal. I have still to isolate exactly which instruction is causing the problem. Also, there are at least 4 consists with the Special category although this does not seem to be causing the problem (I have changed them).

Re: Update
Sorry, ...Fact is
You take:
Creston Route (Route equal)
Free Play Scenario select and load
In Game World Editor open
4 or 5 trees planted in the route
and then click directly on the upper menu on the Scenarioeditor. (Locosign)
And then we see the Guru with "Time to Say Goodbye"
(Crash Splash Screen)
We're back on the desktop.
The Creston route is damaged.
Easy Action.

Re: Update
This is what I found in Delivery Day after being a bit more scientific about removing commands (starting with the last command):-
Removed 2 and did not notice any great improvement
Removed 3rd from last and noticed a small improvement in frame rate.
Removed 4th from last. Frame rate improved, keyboard became responsive but the loco stuutered as it moved.
Removed 5th from last and got a small improvement in the stuttering.
Removed 6th from last and the motion appeared to be normal. Framerate about 34 and playable.
Processor is a core i7 with 6gig DDR3 RAM and a Radeon 8400 graphics card

Re: Update
Hi Ice,
Can you give exact details (which trees and where) on what you did to get that problem.
We have tried it here on a number of different machines and not had an issue.
We used this route and followed your instructions;
