Re: Update
Well, they screwed things up again! I never had any problem with Railworksproc.exe, except for the known error on exit after editing. Now every time i try to do something in my route and save it, the program crashes and the Railworksproc error messsage pops up. On next startup, the route wouldn´t load, and the message "Something bad has happened bla bla bla... This happens after adding or deleting assets, but not if deleting consists, and just in one particular tile, (+000003+000009) maybe on others too, i tried editing on some other tiles and had no problem. I went to the Scenery folder and found the file +000003+000009.bin had a size of 0 kb. Restored from a previous backup, wich was 14,9 kb and restarting RW and my route, everything fine, until i add some building and save... crash ... deleted a tree.... crash. I cannot trace for bad content by eliminating one by one, since it's impossible to save. My route is useless now with a tile i cannot work on. So what now? Another patch to fix this and break something else?
By the way, the mousewheel zoom on the headout camera was already present in the previous update. Are you at RS.com really aware of what you are doing? Very professional, no doubt about it.

Re: Update
Same exactly thing happened to me. Edited a scenario for a route. Planted some trees, added some track, switched over to the scenario editor and CRASH. Now that route won't load for editing or playing at all. Freezes during the load screen. All other routes load and edit fine.raildumper wrote:Well, they screwed things up again! The feature of "edit a route and corrupt the entire thing" was somehow missing from that update list.

Re: Update
Hello, ...
Yes we can do it ..
Barak O.
..a Route Loading
in the Route a few Trees in the editor mode set, without the World Editor go to the Scenario Editor Icon clicked and then comes the GURU splash screen. "It's Time to say goodbye."
The route is now broken.
For Luck I have read here before, and uses an old route for it.
Its not my Homeroute
A fat Bug.

Re: Update
Me for one. I've just loaded the "Delivery Day" scenario for the Bath - Templecombe route to see if a signal problem I reported had been fixed and found that the sim ran in a very "jerky" manner despite frame rates being shown as in the 30s and 40s. It's not just the visuals that are jerky the controls move in fits and starts as well as reported in the F5 HUD. Same happened last night immediately after the update as well.Trainguy76 wrote:How many people have problems with there RailWorks after the update?
I tried continuing from a save of the same scenario and that ran fine as did a couple of scenarios on other routes. I've not tried any route or scenario editing for fear of having something broken as others have reported.
If RS.com are reading this I repeat my offer of testing your patches and other work free, gratis and for nothing! It may at least go some way to saving you from shooting yourselves in the foot again.

P.S. The signal problem has not been fixed.

Re: Update
Where in the list of fixes does it state that it has been fixed?P.S. The signal problem has not been fixed.
Re: Update
Nowhere, but I wouldn't expect every minor amendment to a route to be listed. Would you?

Actually, yes. It's called 'change control' documentation and is a fundamental principle of systems or product development...AndyUK wrote: I wouldn't expect every minor amendment to a route to be listed. Would you?

Have tried running Delivery Day and it is impossible to play due to the jerkiness.
FPS are between 9 and 1, should be at least 50 for me.
Something has happened.
Editing the same route seems to be ok still jerky on exiting and playing.

Re: Update
Having a comprehensive listing in the change control documentation and publishing that list are not quite the same thing are they?Wikkus wrote:Actually, yes. Re: Update
In the meantime would it be possible to get Steam to revert our copies of RailWorks back to the previous, relatively problem free, version? I for one was naive enough not to think it necessary to take a backup prior to the latest update.RSderek wrote:Suppliying as much information as possible will aid RailSimulator.com in resolving any issues that have arrisen, as quickly as possible
