I get a lot of missing xml files for rail stock assets when checking stock with RW Tools.
Some assets have an xml file and some don't.
Is that how it should be or do I have lots of faulty installs of stock?

Re: xml files for rail stock assets
Maybe you should give some examples. Maybe not the complete list.
Also worth noting what you checked, a default route or a third party one (and which one)?
And whether it is default stock which is missing or not.

Re: xml files for rail stock assets
RailWorks itself refers to .xml files but the actual files in your Assets folders are .bin files. It is when RW uncompresses them that they are converted into .xml files.
In reality there should not be any .xml files in your rolling-stock folders.
Sorry about RW_Tools reporting the .xml as missing whereas of course it should be advising you that the .bin files are missing. I will correct this asap.

Qite a number of downloads reguire the copying of .Bin files from another (often the default) loco folder and these are probably the majority of the missing files. If you look in the readme it wil mension the location of the missing files.chrisreb wrote:Thanks Mike
