I seem to be missing the station signs for Brent & Newton Abbot.
You can ignore RW-Tools messages about these "missing" signs; these have been replaced by newer versions which should be visible in game.

The station signs have been packaged with the route in recent versions so you should no longer need to download them separately.

The missing engine shed is here:
Click to view more informationSingle Engine Shed [506765 bytes] - Single Engine Shed.zip
File ID: 18595 Date: 12 Mar 2008 - 3126 Downloads

The FSA wagon texture shows as missing on mine also, but the file path is corrupted.

The Stockton texture is from one of Kevin McGowan's buildings, but I'm not sure which one. Do a search in the downloads for the author "rocky291" which will show you all his files.

Hi Andy,

You could check that your 'Object Texture' is set to High.

The problem I am having is that the fencing is there but overlaid by a white rectangle with black and yellow borders saying missing textures.

RW tools can find nothing wrong so all you experts out there any help would be most helpfull.

I love the route and scenarios so it would be great to have it working 100%.

So wating in anticipaption.

Hi Andy
Can you identify the objekt in the world editor by double clicking on it? The asset name is shown in the right flyout.
then you try to download it again and reinstall it.
good look

The distance of visibility is different, this is a basic failure of RS/RW. So you see the Signal earlier as the posts.
Please check your grafik options, if there are very low, may be you can not see the posts.

Hi r4knt,

Try increasing your 'Scenery Detail' slider to a higher value.

Select 'Options' then 'Graphical Detail' to get to the slider.

Hi Stefan,

Now fixed, It was a missing telegraph pole texture.

I am suprised it never showed up in RW Tools V 2.04.

Anyway it was through your help that I fixed it so Many thanks.

Its an excellent piece of work. Just driven Kingswear-Newton Abbot and it is a heck of a lot of fun. well done.

Incidentally, I noticed a GWR signalbox produced by Longbow among the assets. Its very nice, is there any chance this will be upped separately so the rest of us GWR nuts might be able to make use of it?

Anyway, well done all round. Mr Brunel has put a cigar put aside for you. :)

Hi All

Posting once again after a long break, although I regulally surf the RW forums, massive help and interesting comments.

SDB v12 superb :D  , I also had same missing textures on telegraph pole string and it highlighted one problem with Kuju default files and Steam. In keeping with comments on these forums, I copied over or reinstalled RS assets forgetting that some items are in Kuju, Scenery and Procedural folders and texture files, I have now copied the rest over and corrected a few other missing textures.

To do this I copied over complete files from RS but when prompted DID NOT OVER WRITE any existing RW asset, this quickly added the necessary files.

The missing bogie wheel texture file that iantr raised I have now corrected. As stated RW Tools gives this texture as missing, I could not find the incorrect path anywhere so contacted Mike by 'e' mail and he pointed me to the GeoPcDx file as the source although he was not sure it could be effectively corrected.

I did the following:-
Open RW tools, select Open Railsim File, surf to Kuju\..\..\Freight\FSA Wagon\Default\Wagon\fsaGeoPcDx - open. Scroll slowly down, not very far till you read a line something like this -

<ShaderName d:type="cDeltaString">TrainBasicObjectDiffuse.fx</ShaderName>
<TextureByName>
<e d:type="cDeltaString">..\..\..\haawagon\default\textures\[00]wagon_wheel</e>
</TextureByName>

Remove the bold words so that the path reads - <e d:type="cDeltaString">..\..\..\textures\[00]wagon_wheel</e> :P

This has worked for me, the bogies and wheels are now visible, or though it may be my eyesite (senior OAP) but the wheels may not be on the track.
As this is an original default file it fixes this missing texture in some other routes, and after two Steam updates IT HAS NOT changed the file BACK.
There appears to be one other default texture path that causes missing textures - Sieg_Hage_Underpass_01, but this could be more problematic to alter, I am still investigating this one.

Must Go and steam down the coast.

Regards

Mike

Hi,

I downloaded and installed V12. It's beautiful.
I have one problem, using the #9 key to see the map gives errors in 99,98% of the time , crashing the sim .

Does anyone experience the same problem ?

Thank you
Albert
