Hi can any one give me details on how to duplicate say the default HST so I can install the Armstrong Powerhouse sounds. So Steam won't overwrite them every time it updates.

RW_Tools has two options, Clone Selected Asset, and Clone Selected Default Asset on the Edit Assets screen.
You need the Clone Selected Default Asset option which allows you to give the HST a new name and copies everything into a new folder under the HST folder. You can then repaint it, add new sounds etc, but note that the locomotive's .bin file will still point to the original Kuju audio so you will have to manually edit the .bin file to change the sound paths.

RW_Tools includes an editor for .bin files, just open them from the Files menu.monster666 wrote:Thanks for the reply I will go and get RW_Tools. My next question then would be how do you manually edit the .bin file. sorry bit of a noob at these things.

However be careful with any editing, if you don't know what you are doing, edits will cause them to cease working.
RW_Tools does make backups of any files you edit, so you can always go back though.
