Are they locked, for whatever reason? I have had no problems though.250787 wrote:I don't seem to be able to edit or create any scenrios for the railworks supplied routes or the Isle of Wight but I can for user created and downloaded routes.

Are you able to install Island of Wright (?) route after the latest update?

Ah thats solved it, the routes had become locked. Removing the locks solved the problem. Thanks
Good to they have included the foliage package.

Re: Railworks Updated 10/08/09
So it has! I had problems too, not that it mattered because a copy and paste got it working in RailWorks, but now it's officially installed.Paul_Boland wrote:The Rail Simulator Shunter pack has installed!!!

Meh... Ok, so for those of us who splashed for the original RS expansion, what's different about this new "free" version. Or am I to assume the answer is "nothing, apart from the freeness..."?

I hope it contains a Monkey Puzzle tree. And a Manchurian Fir. And a Japanese Maple. And some, er, {researches random exotic flora} Chorallorhiza odontorhiza. And, and, and... a big pie.Basherz wrote:I think Derek said he'd been making a bettter version of it, last week sometime Rik.

Re: Railworks Updated 10/08/09
Nice bonus!
For the benefit of routebuilders it would be good to know if the bonus is indeed the former payware foliage pack, and what changes if any have been made to the contents.
However, I see a problem. The new foliage presumably installs in the Kuju not the RSDL folder where the payware version resides, so surely routebuilders who used the original payware will now have to replant it all (or at least change the asset file locations)?

I had a look in my folder structure and it installed to where it was before ie in the RSDL folder. With my pre-existing version a number to the files where updated in that the file modified date was the date of the update.longbow wrote:

Edit - Derek said the work he is doing to improve/update the foliage is for his own route he is making to make it different than the default content and won't affect any default content.
Re: Railworks Updated 10/08/09
The pack just overwrites your payware install. My Cresston V1 uses the foliage pack so I had it tested last night from someone who had just received the free update, it worked fine.longbow wrote:Nice bonus!

Re: Railworks Updated 10/08/09
This is very good news. My Spa Valley Railway route which started in RS and is still there uses the foliage pack extensively but unless you had the original pack ported over to RW then the route would have been useless to those without access to it.
This is another good step in the direction of making RailWorks truly compatible with RS, but there are still a few issues to sort out.

I haveto agree, I think the decision to release the foliage pack as a free update was an excellent one, route builders are now free to use those excellent assets without fear of distribution problems (and yes, I too paid for the RS version, but given the benefits of a general release I'm not upset about that).
Good move RS.com, I'll airmail you over a couple of jaffa cakes...

I also purchased the pack when it first came out. I have never regretted it and am very pleased that others can now share in this great add-on.
RS, you are doing a great job.
Looking forward to the future releases.
