Northern Lights - Package Manager

Post by msey0002 »

Just downloaded Mully's Northern Lights route from his site, including all the assets, yet when I add them to the package manager and I press ok on the install window nothing happens. Installing other assets worked fine, just all the stuff I downloaded from Mully's site to do with the NL route isnt installing. Anyone know the reason?

cheers

Hi msey0002,
Just downloaded Mully's Northern Lights route from his site
I have not got that Route and don't know Mully's site, but as a long shot are the downloaded files .exe and not .rpk files which are the files that RW Package Manager can handle? :-?

When did you download this? Was it dated before the 3rd July, because he had a problem before that date.

Did you download as well, all the assets and especially "Assets 5". This was the original fault that gave the "not showing up" you reported.

Would it be possible for you to upload the package, etc, to UKTrainSim.

I ask as when I try to download from your site I get requests to store a large number of cookies,
I get full-screen windows appearing trying to sell me LapTops,
and I am most concerned that it wants to execute some script on my PC, and tries to install an Add-On of some kind.

I killed the attempts and did not allow any of it.

All the best

hey basherz. the thing is that Assets 5 was the only one that installed correctly mate.

It seems as though the downloads completed before it should actually be competed (for example Assets 2 should be 67MB, but instead the download completes after only 6MB). Also when I come to add the .rpk's through the RW package manager an error comes up saying 'cannot find central directory'. sorry for not mentioning this before, was in a bit of a hurry :).

hope this clears things up bashers?

Fine.

So whoever created the route and assets, could you upload it to UKTrainSim.

Many thanks

I'll let Mully know Mark and I'll try again later tonight. Will let you know.

And to Colin, I am pretty sure he is going to upload here, although it is only under test at the moment. He probably held off because of some errors.
