Hi, the main oovee site is currently closed for maintenance so who knows it may be available once that's complete.

Re: OOVEE HST Buffers
Hi.
I was also wondering what had happened to Ovee's buffers so i emailed them tonight.
They replied within a very short space of time, this is what they wrote:
Thank you very much for your interest it’s greatly appreciated. However there is a slight delay with the ‘wrapping’ process of the HST buffers themselves.
The problem we’re having is the installer would trigger the end-users anti-virus program (if they have Avira Anti-Vir installed). This trigger is a false-positive therefore it shouldn’t be triggered. We are in contact with Avira in the hope they can fix the issue on an ASAP basis.
There is also other changes in the company that we are doing so if the website is closed anytime over the next week please bare with us and we will be back and operational again very soon.
Regards
Clive

Re: OOVEE HST Buffers
I Think It Is Just A Major Update To The Class 43 With Buffers, 3 Repaints: Grand Central
, Virgin trains and Intercity Swallow. It Includes MK3 Sounds as well.
On The OOVEE website it said it is planned shortly and is delayed due to technical problems

Re: OOVEE HST Buffers
Thanks for the reply,
Not sure about it being payware though, for what is basicly a kuji hst with buffers, and some reskins that are already availiable on various sites, come on guys support the freeware movement it needs all the help it can get at the moment.

Re: OOVEE HST Buffers
well, I think instead of the reskin, we are paid for the "new buffer" and the sound. (but..I have wait for this for 2 month already)growler37 wrote:Thanks for the reply,

But Oovee are a business aren't they, if they supported the freeware movement they wouldn't last very long.growler37 wrote:Thanks for the reply,

Re: OOVEE HST Buffers
To be honest, if I continuously released things for free, Oovee wouldn't be able to fund the likes of the 156 and 90 projects along. I have staff to pay, I have to live, Oovee has to stay afloat. I think releasing a product that has taken a good few months to create will be a bad decision for Oovee.growler37 wrote:Thanks for the reply,

octavianlf242 is correct, you're not paying for the re-skins at all. Admittedly they wouldn't look right on a standard HST but you are paying for the buffer models and the Mk3 sound pack. The simple scenario here is I've already brought the price below what it has cost Oovee to make and to run the business, and if you still don't agree with that, then don't buy it.
We do have other smaller things on the line that we plan to release for free, but these will be focused towards other developers.

when will the buffer be available to buy? (er...I have waiting for that since early May as it said will be launched at Mid May..and now is July...still showing as "coming soon..")
I am not blaming on anything but just want to know how long we still need to wait to couple the HST to class 47.
By the way, could anyone couple MK3 coach directly to Class 47?
Re: OOVEE HST Buffers
Hi all, i've spoke to Zane today and he said it will be released in a few weeks.

Thanks for the news.
Then I think I should go and enjoy the JT class 60 first.

Re: OOVEE HST Buffers
I'm sorry that you've had to wait a while. But it's in my interest that the files are safe and that they contain no errors or bugs (things may go un-noticed but this is normal). I'm really not in a position to allow the files into the public domain whilst an anti-virus program is picking them up as a 'false-positive'.
Most people automatically trust their anti-virus program before a vendor, therefore giving us a bad reputation. I'm sure you would rather have a fully working product than being back on the forums 10 minutes later moaning about any errors.
I'm just waiting on Avira at this time.
