The easiest way, if you still have RS installed, to get locomotives (unfortunately not the scenarios) to work in RW is to copy C:\Program Files\Rail Simulator\Assets\S9BL to C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\railworks\Assets. Delete the Blueprints.pak from within the Class158Pack folder and you're done. That is for the 158 and the rest are practically the same method.
I am presuming the DVD installs into the same location as the download version.

The 158 also appears in some of richards scenario packs which it seems to work fine.

The only way to get RS addons into RailWorks is if you still have RS installed so you can either copy files over, as i suggested, or package them using the package manager. If you do not want to spend all that money again for the slightly modified RWs versions, which are not free upgrades for customers of the RS versions, it may be worth reinstalling RS

.

Hi,
With regards to official RS addons I suggest you wait a day or 2 for further information from RS.com
best regards

RW_Tools will also do it, I havent tried it but Mike Simpson gave that in a post in this forum.
BTW, I'm not keen on the quality of the actual DVD Disk, its very thin indeed.
So far so good, no problems yet - fingers crossed.

Absolutly, the DVD is one of those "eco" disks, and I can see people damaging them trying to get them out of the box!

Hi Everyone
Wouldn't it have been great if the two formats were interchangable?
That way you could have RW products for RS in addition to RS products for RW
It is a shame that some members who stay with RS will probrably not see any new locos
Although having said that I believe Just Trains are making the Class 60 for both formats.
Kind regards Stephen

It shouldn't be too much of a problem if the disc gets damaged though, in the sense that if the game is "Activated" via Steam then once this "Activation" has occured the game will be registered to your Steam account. Since the game is then registered to the Steam account you
should be able to download it through Steam at any time and not have to rely on the DVD for reinstalls, etc...
