On Class67, what is the use of the "Train Length button" ? not indicated in RSC manual.

You press it when you pass a speed board and when rear of the train passes the board it will give a beep response to indicate you can Accelerate.

I didn't know the RSC one had that feature as i thought/ previously it was just for show but didn't function.

in the manual "Class 67 Diesel Locomotive.pdf", I have only 9 pages.
in real life, how do train drivers without this function ?

I thought they had the number of towers?

Another question: is there a key on the keyboard to activate this function ?

With most trains being a standard length (even freight) I'd expect as part of route learning drivers would have a marker when they can accelerate after a speed board.

No.


The JT version you press the yellow train length button in the cab,it will beep. When it beeps 3 times your train has passed the point at which you pressed the button (a speed board for instance).

It doesn't work on the RSC version AFAIK so if you are using that one you won't get it at all.

It's functional on the RS.com model (always has been iirc) but I don't think there is a key assigned to it

The train length button works fine.

Another question: when I push the red button named "DRA" (not mentionned in RSC manual ), the throttle is near zero: What is the function of this button ?

This is the Driver's Reminder Application. It is used by passenger trains at station stops and prevents the throttle being engaged, so the train does not move whilst passengers are boarding

Its normally used at a station when the signal is red to prevent the driver pulling away after loading passengers and SPADing.
