Re: Package manager
And so the plot thickens David, I am packaging up builds in excess of 350mb on a near daily basis without any issue!

Re: Package manager
Ah but Darren you have the extra soooper doooper RW (only available to the RSC elite forces)
I'm now on my sixth go at just packaging up one simple scenario that worked OK at lunch-time
And I've just burnt tonight's tea

UPDATE - On go 9 the Packager worked correctly...................however this hasn't salvaged our tea unfortunately

Re: Package manager
Not that I use them often, but I'm having no issues at all with the Package Manager or Packager.
Not that that helps anybody of course, but it looks like another little quirk that affects enough folk to seemingly be a general problem, but enough folk don't have bother making it more a problem with individual setups. Hard to track down the cause in cases like this.

Re: Package manager
I think it has been mentioned already but... on the rare occasions I am forced to use the package manager this is how I do it.
Of course once you are finished put all the folders back to their original / normal state (ie rename them back again).
Hope that helps some people. This is how I packaged up the routes and assets for the Route Building Challenge #3 which Geoff asked me to help out with.
- Move all the .pi files out of the RailWorks\PackageInfo folder to another location (put them back after making the package
- Rename your exisiting "RailWorks\Content\Routes" folder (which contains all the routes) to something else (Routes_old for example
- Rename the existing "RailWorks\Assets" folder to something else (Assets_old for example)
- If you are creating a scenario or route package then create a new "Routes" folder in RailWorks\Content\" and copy your route back into it.
- If you are creating a package containing assets then create a new folder called "assets" within "RailWorks" and place all assets you wish to package in it
- Now launch package manager and make your package
Of course once you are finished put all the folders back to their original / normal state (ie rename them back again).

Re: Package manager
Today i found out i was having the same problem. I never made much use of the package manager but today it didn't work as before (the update???).
What i did was running Railworks in offline mode and, tada, i could install something again.
Hope this will workout for those who have problems too.

Re: Package manager
I did exactly the same today as I did the last time I posted (then I had 8 consecutive failures) and it worked correctly first time !!!
Still it's all good fun isn't it
