There are two completely separate CIG packs; the original in BR Blue and NSE with scenarios for the PDL and the Southern version with scenarios for the Brighton Line

So, where did the 4VEP run then? I have just seen that on Steam as i was about to buy the 4CIG!! I was trying to wait for a potential Steam sale, but i just couldn't hold it any longer! Should i go 4CIG, or 4VEP? The 444 is totally out of it now. ARRRGGHH!!

I have just bought the AP soundpack in readiness! :D

Which reskin, there are 2 of them, one by Jive Bunny and the other by Clive Richards, and in both cases you need the RSC Payware original for them to operate successfully !!!!

Tels, get the 4CIG original, you can do your own scenarios on both the PDL, and, Brighton layouts....... :D

My apologies. I've got Jive Bunny's. I'd forgotten about Clive's, which I haven't used and cannot therefore comment on.

When I said 'DLC' I was referring to the recent Southern reskin. Sorry if that was not clear. I'm aware you need to buy the 421 - that's the whole point of the post, isn't it? :-?

PS Glad we agree on the CIG anyway!

The 4VEP's were run in similar arease to the 4CIG's I believe and certainly ran an the Brighton line. They were used for Gatwick Express services in the late 70s and early 80s. I'm actually a bit surprised the DLC pack released at the same time as the route wasn't a 4CIG/4VEP bundle as that would have made it a much more interesting buy. Thus far I havn't seen any scenarios for the 4VEP so I'd stick with the 4CIG for now, though I suspect (hope) that as we start to see BR blue era scenarios for London to Brighton the 4VEP might get more use...

No probs Michael, no need to apologise.
I'm glad El Tel got the 4 CIG in the end, I think I'll be getting it soon.

Glad you feel you've made the right decision!

Now you just need to add the freeware HAPs and EPBs to your portfolio, maybe buy the VEP and 33 at some point in future, and you're sorted for the Southern :)
