Hi All,
After tonight's update, you may find some third-party routes are pitch black when you load them up, with only outlines of certain objects visible. This is likely to be because they rely on the lighting from the original Oxford-Paddington route, which has been moved from Assets\Kuju to Assets\RSC. The fix for this is to simply open the route in the editor, open the provider flyout, and tick RSC>OxPadd. You then need to click "Play" to save the route (it'll still be dark), exit, and re-load the route, at which point you'll be able to see again.
Admittedly so far I've only had this problem on one route (my own, the GWML Extension) but I thought it'd be useful to share the fix.
I've given the following routes a quick run and they're fine:
Bristol-Exeter (JT version, Steam version should be fine too)
SECML
Settle Carlisle
South Devon Banks
Wales & Borders
Cheers,
JB

Thanks for this JB
Been wondering... have you any intention of importing things from the "new" O-P into your GWML Extension route, or are the two so diverged now that there's no point?

Re: [Quick Fix] Route in the dark after the June update?
Hi Ruth,
The route I'm working on is way too far "down the line" (so to speak) to start importing bits from this updated version. I haven't spotted anything in the new O-P that isn't already in the GWML Extension in any case, as far as I can tell at a quick glance the only new features are the parcels platform at Paddington, the addition of lighting and the WCML catenary (which is now part of the core, so I'll investigate using these and replacing certain other assets so the route no longer requires WMLC-N).

Re: [Quick Fix] Route in the dark after the June update?
Hi JB,
Was just wondering if there were new models that were usable. I certainly understand that you can't just "reimport" it!
WCML-N is the only payware bit i have though... can't you get rid of NEC instead
Ruth

Re: [Quick Fix] Route in the dark after the June update?
Thanks for the solution. I was in a panic for a while there when i opened my own route (that I've been slowly working on for around 6 months) and found it all black.
Phew!!

Thank You!

That would explain when I downloaded Keith's GWML it was all black when I went to create a scenario despite being fine when I ran the scenario that came with the download. Cheers for the help
