I was using Auto Fireman, always do.
Since the criteria for which bugs are eligible for submitting here is something that in practice is almost impossible to fulfill (ANY bug can be due to someone's driving, set-up, etc), I guess this thread should be closed.
I'm not fat - I'm easy to see

Please please make sure you check your bug AND verify it. This is not a wish list (or should not be).

If possible get someone else to verify the bug so that we can be 100% certain it is a bug and not a fault specific to one users setup. If we report a list of bugs where some are not actual bugs (even if it is a small number of the total) then it wastes RSC's time looking into non-bugs and they may well decide that working through the list is not a productive use of their time.

Lets make sure we get it right :D

Now for my bug (I have spoken to others and they report the same but if someone else could verify on a 100% default class 47 loco that would be great).

The class 47 train brake can not be controlled with the mouse (it is impossible to click and move the handle) and the loco brake is very hard (but not impossible) to move.

Sound phasing issues with multiple locos and units. Also lack of fluid gameplay, be it tile loading or micro stutters....

Well, if you want to do it properly, do a bug report, like this:
------

Synopsis: Can't fuel manually fired steam locomotives when in multiple
Description:
When in multiple, manually fired steam locomotives:
  • Can not be fuelled using keyboard or F4 hud - the F4 hud will indicate no water or coal is being fed despite what the F5 display shows. Using the 3d cab controls will enable you to fuel the engine *while stationary*.
  • The engines not under direct player control in the consist will not fuel themselves.
Reproduction:
  • Enable manual firing
  • Build a consist with two or more steam locomotives. Location and locomotives do not matter
  • Drive and attempt to fire/feed water into the locomotive. After some time of driving, the scenario will end with "Locomotive out of water".
My posts are my opinion, and should be read as such.

I'd like to echo the sentiments in the first sentence and can confirm that I am unable to operate the class 47 train brake with the mouse.

Yes I can report that the default 47 train brake cannot be moved by the mouse. The class 47 loco brake can only be manipulated by the mouse if you click on the part of the brake handle that connects the black rubber end to the pivot. The loco brake is also only mapped to be manipulated by the mouse on the inward facing side of the control (which is tiny).

Hi - that isn't the issue here in my view; the model included in the NSE class 47 DLC has a big label in the cab saying "Max Speed 95 MPH".

So the model may be (in fact, is) inaccurate in this respect, but it is not a bug in the software

Excellent post Kariban.

Sheep you are the thread starter. This could become quite a lot of work. Are you willing to collate all the records? It would require a very methodical approach to ensure the list is good :D.

Might I suggest that those that have reported bugs re-post theirs in the format suggested by Kariban. It is ideal for whoever is collating the info (sheep??) as they can just copy and paste it into a document once more than one member has confirmed the fault.

Here is mine in the format Kariban proposes:

Synopsis: Class 47 train brake can not be controlled using the mouse
Description:
When in the cab of a class 47 it is impossible to move the train brake lever (and thus use the train brake) with the mouse.

Reproduction:
With any class 47 locomotive simply enter the cab and try to move the train brake lever with the mouse

#########################################################

Synopsis: Class 47 loco brake very hard to control using the mouse
Description:
When in the cab of a class 47 it is very hard to select the loco brake lever and move it.

Reproduction:
With any class 47 locomotive simply enter the cab and try to move the loco brake lever with the mouse

In which case it's simply a wish, and is therefore off-topic.

Please - let's keep this thread for what it was originally intended for.

  • Go into cab view and look at the DRA box, you can see the shadow of where a button once was

  • Go into passenger view of a 158 (S&C version) whilst raining
  • The rain falls in different directions on different windows and there are sections where no rain falls at all
Synopsis:Class 158 (Settle & Carlisle Version) Door interlock lights do not work
Description: When the doors open on the 158 (S&C) version, the orange interlock lights on the outside of each carriage do not illuminate.
Reproduction:
  • In external view open the doors of an S&C version 158 whilst watching the orange lights at the centre of each carriage
Synopsis:Class 377 (All White Livery), one carriages doors disappear before the train when moving view away.

Reproduction:

  • Repeat the above but with the front (driving) carriage doors closed. You will be able to move off with the doors open

Couple of oldies that have been present for a long time but still exist on my setup; 1. Screaming engine/gears on class 101, never been officially fixed. Community mods break Raildriver compatibility so no good. 2. Class 101 performance, accelerates like a Ferrari not a 1950's bus on tracks. Again needs officially sorting to avoid faffing with reapplying community mods every time there is a core update or you need to verify cache. 3. Sound bug with rear HST power car. Nearly always sounds at idle on my rig. 4. Drivers on roof, still occassionally find this on the default HST from time to time. Needs a verify cache to fix it which then duffs up all your other mods and enhancements.

All my default HST have their drivers in the cab. It's looks like the modifications are at fault.
