Cheers for the advice guys. The verify I just ran managed to finish this time and has picked up 36 dodgy files. I'll let it download them and see what happens

EDIT: Ok, I have all my RSC DLC back, but L2B still isnt working. Still a white expanse, and I get the scenario error concerning the 377

Cheers,
Tom

Hi,

I'm having the same problem. I bought the route 30 minutes ago and there's no terrain and the Class 377 is missing. I checked the folders and the 377 is empty. This is my second attempt verifying cache but nothing happens. What if I delete the assets and route folder to make Steam verify and download again? Will it work?

Cheers,
David.-

Rather than delete the route, just cut it out of the Routes folder onto your desktop or wherever else you feel it'll be safe---it'd be worthwhile moving the .pi file out of the PackageInfo folder too;you could probably get away with just doing that but to be on the safe side I'd recommend you keep a copy of what you have even though it doesn't yet work.
Once you've done that verify the game to force a re-install, if the problem still persists after that it'd be time for a mail to RSC I think.

More important than the .pi file is the .ncf file in the steam apps folder. Deleting this will force that whole pack to be re-downloaded the next time Steam is restarted - without using the cache verification process which is vulnerable to internet connection dropouts.

Oh, I didn't know that. Maybe will work after deleting. Thanks!

I have recently email RSC about getting this horrid little bug fixed. They are looking into it.

Well, I find the solution for the missing Class 377. I had to remove all the folders, including the .pi files and then for the third time verified cache. Very non-easy solution for a faulty download system.

Thanks for the help guys.

Regards,
David.-

Sorry I don't think you can call it a faulty download system as it works faultlessly for the vast majority - your download was faulty and you solved it by removing the problem download and re-downloading it so the fault was more likely to be your connection not the system.

Remember to
+ wait for the steam download to complete before starting RW.
+ clear the blue-print cache after each download, install, remove or verify.

Has anyone corrected the sun azimuth by adding a - in front of the values in the TimeOfDay files which then puts the sun in the south rather than the north? Unfortunately a side effect of this produces shadows over some of the stations in the summer. No matter what values I use so long as the sun is in the south I get the same thing happening. It doesn't appear when the sun is in the north or during the other seasons.

Try this for summer azimuth:

<AzimuthAngle d:type="sFloat32" d:precision="string">-0.5113</AzimuthAngle>

Technically that's the elevation for Bristol at midday on 1st June - suitably adjusted for what I can work out of RW's lighting system - but it's near enough.
My posts are my opinion, and should be read as such.

I'm having this problem, too.
