Poll! More Heritage / First Generation DMU's for RW

Now that I have achieved a satisfactory simulation of the gearbox & transmission on RSCs 101 DMU I thought it might be worth considering if there would be much demand for more 'Heritage' DMUs in Railworks. My own preferences would be a Swindon 120 or 126 for Keith Ross's Port Road though for the sake of potential demand it would be worth seeing what was on the communities wish list.
The usefull feature of DMUs are that the standard 'Derby' cab sdesign could be used across a number of classes (Hint for devolopers) e.g. 107, 108, 118, 127 to name but a few!
If any developers (Commercial or Freeware) have been put off by the physics implimentation I would be willing to help!. And now that I have mastered scripting I thing there is more potential for realism e.g. working air & axle lights, functional failures of air system, reving up to create vacuum etc. maybe AP could create a 'Pro' DMU sound pack (Plenty of scope here!)
Pop youre votes in now!

A bubble car 121/122 is top on my list and any other first generation DMU is welcome too

A class 117 would make a great addition for use on the Oxford to Paddington!

A 107/108, 121 /122 and 117 would probably have the most widespread appeal and fit with routes available and planned.
I know Derek mention doing some a while ago.
Best bet would be to start a post on the FB page to get some attention.
Personally Id love a Derby Lightweight.

It would work for most but might look out of place in the Cravens design, where it sloped slightly towards the driver, and the much rarer Wickham's sets (
http://www.llangollenrailcars.com/WICKH ... apr_03.JPG). I've got a feeling that the Swindon Inter City and Transpennine sets had different desks as well, the former due to the end gangway, but I can't find any photos at the moment. The Derby and MetCam Lightweights also differed from the Derby 'standard', the contol handles being different for one thing.

Would love to see a 104, their great raspy exhaust is something I always loved.

A Class 120 for me. They were the first DMU I came across when they still worked Aberdeen - Inverness services. Any other 1st Gen unit would be most welcome and I'll throw in a class that's not been mentioned yet, the Class 119.

I'd have to agree with that, although with neither the 101 nor the 111 having received the TS2012 treatment it doesn't look like classic DMUs are very high-up on the RSC priority list.

I bet that formation is sluggish JB, I can only see 2 power cars

Normal practice was to have at least 50% of a set powered, so 3 & 4 car units would have 2 powercars.

How about, for our USofA friends, a 'doudlebug' Gas-electric Railmotor. A good all round economic railcar similar to our 'bubble cars', only they were drivable from one end only, and had a lot more character. They could haul a training load like the later GWR railcars. I have a model one in HO gauge - fascinating machines!!
regards Ted.

I'd like to see a single car Class 122 in green but able to travel faster than shown in this video! They were built for use on the LMR but some found their way into Scotland and three were converted for parcels use only and reclassified class 131,

I don't "do" class numbers, but I would really welcome a Derby Lightweight (791xx/796xx from memory) - they existed as both singles and twins. They would look so fitting in Ben's CK&P route (never had Metro-Cammells there!) but their use was quite widespread. Oh, for that gentle rocking from side to side when in motion . . . and that unique high-pitched Rolls Royce engine sound! Mmmmmmmm.
My family would always go for the seats at the back for the panoramic view, and watch how efficient the signalmen were at putting the signals back.

Now you're talking John
101, 105 and 108 did get onto CKPR in the end. Possibly a 110 too.

Class 117 or similar family of DMU for me please. Indeed we have plenty modern units so we need more heritage DMU's!
