Just to point out to some that it is going to be another one of RSCs old tricks! I asked them on Twitter and they DM'd (unsure why they didn't just respond normally) me, saying they original 67 is unlikely to be given the TS2012 treatment along with this pack. So once again it *looks* like they are making us pay and then pay again to get an update with a repaint - you get one repaint, but you lose like 5...
All we need now is for Just Trains to come out with the exact same pack (coaches, might be difficult, they are the only thing that justifies paying the £4.99, even then I would only expect to pay £2.99) and release it for free for those with their Class 67 and then their model will no doubt sell like hot cakes!

You don't lose anything at all, and nobody is making you pay for anything. If you don't like the product/s on offer, or the prices of them, simply don't buy them. I fail to see how it's any sort of trick.

RS have posted on their Press Page that the "‘Royal Diamond’ and ‘Diamond Jubilee’ Class 67 locomotives" come with "special Royal Claret Mk1 and Mk2 coaches" for £4.99 on Thursday.

What I mean by losing the liveries, is that in the current pack (Not TS2012'd) you get 5 or 6 liveries. If you buy this pack you only get one and a TS2012d model. They did the same with Settle - Carlisle which is why I'm waiting for a sale where it goes for 60% off+ I'm not going to diverge the thread here, but IMO RSC are just picking peoples wallets when times aren't exactly easy!
Luckily, Steam's Summer Sale will be along shortly so I can collect all the addons I have refused to buy at 50% or more. The only thing I've been looking forward to is London to Brighton and I was after Settle - Carlisle too, but I can wait for that!

I have a feeling that we'll never see a 75% sale again
I've been to Eastbourne too, So what!

I see from the Facebook photos that they haven't fixed the terrible glowing white textures around the edges of the driver's control panel displays which totally ruin the driving experience of the Class 67 DLC.. For me then that'll be a "not even for free". Hell, that would make it a "not even if they paid me". :(

I can see what your saying, but IMHO this pack is a far cry from the Settle - Carlisle Specials in terms of value and price.

The free reskins of the locos are great.

The coaches are the pull of this pack rather than the locos. If I buy it it'll be for the modified and very distinctive Mk2s and 3s.
If only all problems on the big railway could simply be TAB'd past...

Yeah that packs great, all it needs are some royal Mk2s and nobody would need to buy the other one!

Is it not possible for someone clever with bin. Files to issue an unofficial Update Patch to give the original RSC one Rain and Lights or is this breaking any laws :-? :-?
Kind regards James.

Can't see why not if somebody wants to have a go at doing it and RSC can't be bothered, it shouldn't be a problem!

Short answer is yes for lights but no for the rain effects as you'd need the New shape file.

However, waiting and seeing on this one may be rewarded *whistles nonchalantly* 8-)
