It seems that HRH will be passing within 50 yards of my office tomorrow on her way to Tattenham Corner. Might be nice to wave her on the platform as she passes through :D

I've just checked on the off-chance (not that anyone was expecting it) and can confirm that the original 67 DLC has not been updated and presumably now part of the growing list of abandoned content. Please people, if you want RSC to update the products you've already bought then stop buying the new stuff and tell them about it. If you absolutely must spend your money there are plenty of third-party providers offering some incredibly good products.

I don't think her maj would like to have a big dirty British built kettle or diesel hauling her train anymore, but maybe 6201 could be added to the front if she wants. I bet she would love this http://www.wnxx.com/pictures/47580.htm to be on the front...
Yes, 6201 would be most appropriate to pull the RT; These "Lizzies" are one of the most elegant 'big dirty British built kettle' classes btw, as far as I am concerned...

I must say, I'm a bit ambivalent about this.. The locos and carriages are of great quality, and from photos I've seen they are prototypical, too. But then, there's only one single scenario, and a career mode one to boot (at least they could've cloned it and included it as a standard scenario, too?), there are only five carriages in total, when the complete Royal Train is almost twice as many, and they are modelled without visible interiors. And there's not even a manual included... Surely it couldn't have taken too much effort to write up a short PDF pamphlet detailing the history of the Royal Train? I can't help thinking, this would've been better off released as a free add-on to the existing Class 67, as part of a TS2012 update of this...

I have to say I am disappointed they did not update the existing class 67 pack, and I have sent them an email expressing that.

I'm disappointed too, though not surprised. In fact I'm also disappointed that I'm not surprised. I really hope RSC can rebuild my faith in them which is at a bit of a low at the moment.

So the original class 67 has not been updated but could someone please confirm if the 67 that comes with this pack features TS2012 rain and headlight effects?

Being someone who drives almost 100% of the time from the cab, the exterior livery of the loco I'm driving is pretty much irrelevant. If the Jubilee 67 is updated then I can swap it with RW Tools to use in any 67 scenario at night or in the rain.

I had it on good authority the 67 was going to be updated, it may still be yet and just awaiting a steam slot.

What would be the likely problems of using an exsisiting repaint on this new version?

The differences should only be the wiper pairs entries in the bin file, the textures for the windscreen adding the effects, and the entries in the bin file adding the lights.

I'd imagine the textures would be interchangeable.

You'd also need to edit the .bin file to point to one of the new shape files, and possibly rename the texture file so that the new shape can "find" it. That's assuming that the texture mapping is the same as on the older version.

Given RSCs fondness for aliasing common textures from the shape file, you'd probably be best setting up new locos within the Jubilee 67 pack developer folder and copying textures over from reskins under 67pack01.

Not got this (and not planning to) to see if they've done anything with the mapping, though I don't imagine there would be much, possibly nameplates and logos.

Thanks chaps, so clone the Jubilee 67 add the repaint textures and see what happens then. This could be a continuing issue for repaints I guess? Another slight problem for RW Extenders, in the short term anyway. Will we end up with 2 versions of everything, or 3 in the case of the 67 :-?
I bought the pack in a moment of weekness, and it will do for me as is, I'm not too bothered about modern equipment.

Thank you for contacting the Railsimulator.com customer support, your enquiry has been logged with a member of our dedicated customer support team.

The class 67 JUBILEE release, the clue is in the name Martin, I hope that you are aware of other memorable events taking place in the next few days in Great Britain, if you keep those in mind the
reason for the release is rather obvious.

Our DLC content is constantly being updated and improved and so is the game, for the simple reason that we want to make it better.
